"Staff were exceptionally friendly, really helpful in sharing local knowledge, where to eat, places to see. Rooms were clean and tidy, breakfast was standard holiday inn breakfast, enough parking available. I would stay again "
"The cottage was very cosy and clean, with everything that we needed for our 3 night stay. The hot tub was amazing and we enjoyed using it, especially after our days out, despite the weather!!The hosts Debora and Paul were very helpful when we couldn't access the property with the code given by the agent. Would highly recommend a stay here and will be back. Thank Debora and Paul"
A home from home for extended families / get-together
10/10 Excellent
"This house is lovely and the host Frankie has it decorated to match many tastes and it is very comfortable and has absolutely everything you need and lots of things you don't realise you need, The beds are comfortable ensuring a goodnights rest. The bathrooms are spacious and everything is supplied. The kitchen was so well stocked it was home from home. The play room for the children was fabulous, our boys had so much fun. This was the first time the family had all been together for years and a great time was had by all. We were a group of mixed ages from 66 to 3.The house is fairly central to get to see the sights and is well worth a stay. The only niggle was the lack of a banister at the bottom of the stairs down to the kitchen, one of our boys wasn't paying attention and nearly went over the edge so extra adult attention was given for the rest of the stay. The garden is smashing and is a great relaxation area, plenty of room for kids to play, and a fab place for adult relaxation of an evening.Would definitely stay again ."
"My stay at Hopkins Retreat was amazing. The location was beautiful, and the early morning views were so peaceful, I didn’t want to leave. The hot tub was a great addition – relaxing in it while enjoying the scenery was perfect. I can’t wait to book another stay!"
