We enjoyed our stay here; it was in perfect location to Yellowstone and Cody. The cabin was extremely clean and was everything we needed for our time away from home.
Beautiful spot, perfect location for exploring Yellowstone and Cody
This property was perfect for my family. My 3 boys enjoyed all aspects of the ranch from the free range chickens, outdoor cats, horses and donkeys to the amazing river access for exploring and wading. The river was running fast but we found safe spots to explore. Owners were very quick to respond to texts and questions. We would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting an authentic Wyoming experience!

Place to sleep and eat but hard to enjoy.
Maybe our stay was different due to 90 plus temps the entire time but it was hard to relax and hang out at cabin. Weeds and a pile of tin and junk around cabin make for an unsightly mess when you first arrive. Patio area is over run by red ants and you can’t relax and cook in patio area without being invaded by them. There is an ant hill right up against the cabin on south side. Fans are provided but on hot days cabin is not enjoyable until late evening/early morning. Two big windows have no screens so you can’t open without being overrun by mosquitoes and nats in the cabin. Another screen is duck taped in and still allows multiple mosquitoes and nats in cabin. Cleanliness is cabin is good, beds comfortable, shower good and having washer and dryer is great. Bring your own charcoal for grill. Sounds of river would be great if you could sit on patio and enjoy, and cabin faces main residence on the place 100 feet away, pictures do not show that on VRBO. Mosquitoes were so bad on river it was impossible to enjoy(we went up river into Shoshone Forest to fish and enjoy) Location to Cody and Yellowstone is great. Not one to complain but the reason for renting a cabin was being on the river, relaxation and enjoyment it was hard to give a better rating.
Luke warm showers and no cable .The kitchen chairs need to be all the same or similiar heights. We loved the area . Ans the iside was very nicly decorated.
This place was amazing! We liked the area and the house so much that we stayed a fourth night. Waking up and having coffee on the porch with the horses was a dream. Loved the donkeys too!
The place was very clean and had everything we needed.
We enjoyed our stay at the bunkhouse. It is rustic and efficient; meeting all of our basic needs. Big kids enjoyed the bunk beds. DVD player to watch movies, and Wi-Fi was available.
Great location on the Shoshone River close to the East entrance of Yellowstone.
A fisherman's dream when in season. Great location on Shoshone River close to the East entrance of Yellowstone. Cozy and quiet with peaceful views. Clean and very relaxing anytime of the day. Owners are quick to respond and quite friendly, our kind of people.
We had a great time at this property! Stunning mountain and river views. The baby donkey might have been my favorite. Kids had a great time down by the river and petting the horses. So nice to have laundry on site and a kitchen stocked with the things you need. Definitely recommend!
As advertised. Nice beds …Just a little farther than we expected to enter YSNP in and out each day.

It was OK. Would have been better if they turned up the hot water so we could take a enjoyable shower. Cant use the washing machine because of mildew smell. It was so bad it stunk up the whole bathroom and other bedroom. Not really river access either as we had to trudge our way to get there, but it is possible I guess. This is also a modified garage for the main house so you are super close to them as well. The rest was nice and met our needs though.
Awesome experience in Yellowstone. This place had a good location. Access to Yellowstone and Cody. Especially if you plan on making the Chief Joseph Scenic Highway drive. Cody to Red Lodge by way of Chief Joseph/Beartooth highway is an awesome drive. Thank you to the owners for that suggestion. Hope to see you again next year.
The Owners were fantastic. We got a text on our arrival date telling us the property was ready. When we had questions or needed suggestions on where to eat or go all we had to do was text. The sunsets and sunrises were amazing. The views just sitting outside are indescribable. The ride in to Yellowstone or to Beartooth was amazing too. We have nothing but great things to say about the property and owners!
Very clean. Comfortable beds. Owner was very nice and helpful. Wifi didn't work while we were there. Location isn't great for the park as it was approximately 30 minutes to the entrance but we knew that going in. Cody is a nice town.

Clean but not what we thought
Said it had air condition but there was none. Since health problems this was a problem. Couldn't find a place to fish or have a camp fire. Getting to the river was not easy, then no place to stand to even fish. Since the pictures have people riding horses we thought they did have horses to ride but, no they did not. All the furniture was as they showed but, one of the bar stools was broken. Informed Linda when she came in.
Loved our stay with Adrienne and Jake! This is the absolute best location! 30ish mins to Yellowstone and 20-30 mins into Cody. Very clean when we arrived and any questions or needs we had were answered very quickly! Views are stunning and my kids loved waking up to visit all the animals. River access was easy (just a short walk down from the house). Even though their other unit was booked we really didn't even know they were there! Super quiet and private even with the other unit! Owners were lovely and we had a nice conversation with Adrienne shortly after arriving.
Even without the home having AC we never got hot. Left the windows open and used provided fans and we were absolutely fine. My kids didn't complain one time! Kitchen was pretty well stocked so we could cook and the owners also recommended some great places in town so we had the best of both worlds available to us.
Overall this was a GREAT place to stay and we'll DEFINITELY be back! Thanks again Jake and Adrienne for the best 10 days!

Pass on this one!
The best thing about this rental was the location. Having said that, I would avoid this rental at all costs. We planned to cook meals here as this was about midway through a 2-week vacation. This rental really isn't set up for that. Here are my issues:
1) This kitchen was not suitable for cooking. There were old, broken utensils and a mismatch of old plates and silverware. The pans were badly worn and should have been thrown out.
2) It is basically part of a storage shed that they rent out. It was dirty, the futon sheets had holes in them and it wasn't well-cared for. You have to go through the bathroom to get to the bedroom which won't be an issue if there are only 2 people but more than that, it is annoying.
3)After our stay, I got a disturbing email from the owner about scratches that someone in my party had left on her table. I was shocked and in disbelief at this accusation. Our family is respectful and careful when renting properties as we also own a vacation rental. I emailed her back and told her that the alleged scratches were not from our party. I wonder if this is some sort of scam to get additional money from renters. Send them a picture of damage and ask for more money. My advice is to skip this rental at all costs.
We loved it here- basically only used the location the sleep because we were out and about exploring from sun up to sun down but it was perfect for what what we wanted to do!
We stayed here for a spot to access Cody and also Yellowstone National Park (East entrance). We enjoyed our stay! The bunkhouse was clean and easily accessible and the host was wonderful about answering my questions.
My family booked the cabin before the extreme flooding at Yellowstone. I reached out to the owners after I heard about the damage at the park. They responded right away and ensured us there was no damage by them. We decided to keep the reservation and were very happy with how it worked out. We got into the park twice and this was a great home base as we were about 25 minutes closer to the East Gate than if we had stayed in Cody. Great place and I would recommend to others.
