Excellent 2 day stay!

Close to Daulphin Island, Bayou La Batre, and other destinations along the Alabama & Miss coastal areas. And excellent seafood locations and eating places. Quiet, peaceful and a beautiful place away from the congested places. Really enjoyed and highly recommend it! Will probably plan a trip back and bring my boat.

Beautiful Coden Getaway

My husband, son, and I spent 3 nights at this peaceful property. Secluded yet close to many things. Dauphin Island was only around 15 minutes away. We spent a little of each evening there. Beautiful sunsets!! Mobile not far away as well. Would definitely stay here again! Beautiful property, nice inside, wonderful hosts! Was also a nice bonus to buy up some shrimp to bring home from the owners of the property(Zirlott's Gulf Products) before we left out. Thank you Patricia and Kate for sharing your property! We had a wonderful visit!

Quite get away

If you want peace and quiet after a long day of beaching and or fishing this is the place. My oldest son is hard to please but liked staying there. I have rented condos but a lot of time you can hear folks walking and talking as they go to there condo when you are trying to sleep. It’s real cozy. The owner and family are super friendly. The drive to the beach is not long at all. I would highly recommend it to someone who doesn’t want to deal with a bunch of people.

Worked Great for Our Needs

The booking and check in processes were seamless. The Shed served our purposes perfectly. We had plenty of room for the two of us and everything we needed to make a meal. The mattress was exceptionally comfortable however the pillows were small. The weather outside was extremely hot so the AC, as is typical in the south, had a hard time keeping up with the heat. However, it still was not hot in the rental. Communications with the host was on point. She was always a text or phone call away if needed. Thank you for a great day!

Perfect Location between Mobile and Dauphin Island

My husband, five yr old son and myself drove in from St. Louis for Labor Day Weekend. The property is beautiful and right on the water. It’s very quiet at night and in the morning. We visited Dauphin Island’s West End Beach twice which is only about 20 min away (no parking fee), and the USS Alabama in Mobile which is about 25 min North. FYI Dauphin Island closes up pretty much by 8, so plan your dinner ahead of time. The mainland side of West End Beach has much quieter waves, and black sand. Our 5 yr old son could have spent all day at the USS Alabama exploring. He loved it just as much as the beach. We had everything we needed at The Shed with a gracious and easily accessible host. Thank you for a lovely extended Weekend!

The Shed is a slice of paradise. Clean, quiet, nestled in the forest of south Alabama on the Fowl River. Good people, good place, good times. I would recommend to anyone.

Cute, Quiet, and Close to the Beach!

Such a quaint little cabin that felt remote yet close to the beaches. It was only about a 15 minute drive to Dauphin Island Beach. The country setting was so tranquil. We really enjoyed our stay!

Great Getaway!!

The Shed is an amazing place to stay, super clean! Patricia was very personable and very helpful. The location was awesome and the drive to the beach was not far at all. We loved staying there and are looking forward to coming back and staying there again soon!

A Gem in a Beautiful area

Our Favorite Getaway

The Shed is a charming hidden gem located on Fowl River. It is a short drive to Dauphin Island. Patricia was warm and welcoming as always. Don't forget to buy some fresh seafood from the Zirlott's before you leave.

It was a great place to stay very cozy and quiet. Excellent if you want to get away from all the hustle and bustle. It was only 15 minutes from the beach (side note if you go to Dauphin Island beaches make sure you have very good cellphone service to use the ParkMobile app. They will boot your car) Also the people at Catalina Restaurant are the best if you have a toddler. The restaurants along the beach had very rude staff so we ate at Catalina the majority of our trip. The Aquarium was also great we enjoyed it. Definitely was a nice get away

We loved our stay!

This was our first beach vacation to Dauphin Island. We were about 10 minutes and an easy drive to the beach! The shed is super adorable and spacious! Beds were comfy and everything was there that we needed for the whole week! The river runs behind it and there’s a seafood store - we are obsessed with the fresh shrimp & crab quiche! It was the perfect trip! We will be back next year for sure!!

Hidden Gem

This property is in a nice and quiet secluded area. We were minutes away from Dauphin Island and loved the small island feel. Everyone is so kind and friendly. We got in very late at night, and the Shed was warm and cozy with beds waiting for us. It was absolutely what we needed to escape the hustle of life.
