About this property
NEW! Retro Bungalow·Pool·Game Room·Walk to Beach
- Picture yourself cooling off in the pool at dusk, cold drink in hand, 65 inches of outdoor TV glowing above the water while the Florida sky melts to gold behind you. Tomorrow morning is four minutes from the beach. Tonight, it's Ms. Pac-Man in an immersive 1950s game room, milkshakes from a vintage GE kitchen, and more retro soul than you came expecting. And some nights — if you're watching — a rocket launch blazes off right from the front door.
We give our guests space but are available when needed.
Todd and Catherine live locally, but work during the day. However, we are happy to interact during the evenings. Aunt Wanda also lives locally and is available to assist during the day. We will always make sure that we are responsive in order to ensure that you have a fabulous stay at Space Race Bungalow by Town Center Cottages

Downtown Cocoa Beach is 4 minutes away, centered at Minuteman Causeway. Coconuts on the Beach, Pompano Grill, Dirty Birds, and a stretch of restaurants, bars, and local shops are all within easy walking distance of each other — and on the third Friday of every month, Friday Fest fills the streets with outdoor live music and vendors from 6 to 10 PM.
Ron Jon Surf Shop, the world's largest at 52,000 square feet, is 10 minutes away and open 9 AM to 11 PM daily.
Twelve minutes north, the Cocoa Beach Pier stretches 800 feet over the Atlantic and offers fresh seafood, a tiki bar, and year-round surfing events. Also 10 minutes away, the Banana River offers bioluminescent kayaking on summer and fall evenings — the lagoon glows around every paddle stroke — plus dolphin and manatee eco-tours year-round.
Port Canaveral, the world's largest cruise homeport, is 15 minutes. Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is 30 minutes. Walt Disney World is an hour. And rocket launches? You'll watch them from the front yard.
PARKING
Up to four cars fit in the driveway. We send a parking map before arrival — the layout is non-standard, and the map makes it simple. Street parking available nearby.
GUEST ACCESS
Self check-in at 4 PM via smart lock — code sent before arrival. Check-out is 10 AM.
Guests have access to all bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, game room, family room, patio, pool deck, and beach gear shed. Two spaces are owner-reserved: a locked closet in the primary suite entry and a utility room off the game room (electrical panel and emergency exit only).
ABOUT THIS SPACE
Step outside and you're at the heart of it: a 15 x 25 - foot sports pool flanked by Adirondack chairs, chaise lounges, and a 65-inch outdoor TV mounted so you can watch from the water or from the conversation seating for five on the deck. In-pool volleyball and basketball, large Connect 4, and cornhole fill out the pool area, with a child safety gate included. The landscaping after dark — four surfboards, wooden painted pelicans, in-pool lighting — gives the backyard a glow you didn't know you needed. A cold outdoor shower with a surfboard backboard handles the sand before you come inside, and the tropically painted storage shed holds 10 beach chairs, umbrellas, two wagons, and soft-sided coolers for the whole group.
Inside, the front door opens into a family room anchored by a floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall tropical beach mural that wraps all the way into the kitchen. Turn right, and you're in the game room: black-and-white checkered floors, Route 66 and Diner Open neon signs, a stand-up Pac-Man arcade cabinet, a 75-inch TV, Nintendo Switch 2 with four controllers, and a bookcase of board games — plus two full-size LG washer-dryer sets tucked into the room.
The kitchen centers on something genuinely rare: authentic 1950s-era General Electric stainless steel cabinets, still bearing their GE badges, painted a tropical blue that ties the whole room together. Modern stainless appliances, a bistro table with four diner stools, a dedicated coffee station, and a milkshake station round it out — a kitchen that looks like a period set but cooks like a modern one.
The three bedrooms each have their own identity. The Space Room has queen-over-queen bunks with 700TC sheets, an Astronaut Break mural, and framed NASA mission patches — built for kids who've visited Kennedy Space Center; blackout shades keep late sleepers sleeping. The second bedroom is a boho-beach king with 700TC sheets, blackout shades, and curtains. The primary suite opens with a dedicated office entry — coffee bar, full desk, 27-inch external monitor — then a king platform bed with 12-inch memory foam, 700TC sheets, and a teal duvet, with curtains and blackout shades for a true dark room. The primary bath has white quartz countertops, gold fixtures, a bidet, and a direct door to the pool deck.
The hall bathroom stocks shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and fluffy white towels for the full stay. Central air conditioning keeps the whole house comfortable year-round; the game room has its own dedicated mini-split. 1 Gig WiFi reaches the entire property.
WHO THIS HOME IS BEST FOR
This home is built for families who want to actually do something together — not just sit on the beach. Kids who love space will lose their minds in the Space Room and again at Kennedy Space Center the next day. Tweens and teens have the arcade, the Switch 2, and a board game bookcase. Two families sharing the trip will find the 3-bedroom, 8-guest layout makes the math easy.
Pool safety note: we ask that children under 8 be confident swimmers and confirm this before accepting bookings with young children.
