Cowley Manor Hotel This Grade II listed Italianate villa was built in 1855 and remodelled in about 1900 by Sir James Horlick, the malted-milk magnate. They have certainly not made a horlics of converting it into a classy hotel sitting in 55 acres of its own grounds.

Rooms comfortable. Common areas in good repair. My bathroom needed a little attention. Spa and gym area a little limited but not too busy. Stayed 3 times now and the jacuzzi has never been working
