Our stay at the Love Villas was a vacation soon not to be forgotten. After retrieving our luggage at the Grand Turk airport we are immediately met by Richard Sanford, the owner of the Love Villas. He proceeds to give us a tour of the 7-mile island, pointing out the Island’s top restaurants, the best seaside bars and the location of the fishing and dive boat charters. After a quick 30-minute ride, we arrive at the three-story Love Villas. Before we enter our two-bedroom villa, The Seahorse, on the second level, Richard gives us a quick tour of the entire villa and its extraordinary amenities. First, our own Gem golf Cart which will provide us with safe and convenient travel throughout the island. Oh, did I mention, that it comes free with each villa
Next, he shows us where the paddleboards are stored outside with easy access to the beach, the beach umbrellas, beach floats, and beach chairs….around to the back of the villa…the side by the Caribbean sea where six luxurious padded chaise lounges are set up for the guest’s leisure enjoyment. Right next to the side by side weber grills, so easy to operate even I could manage it. We pause for a moment to take in the magnificent view of the Caribbean Sea…where in ten steps you can be putting on your masks and fins and be off on your own private snorkeling adventure.
Ok, on to our Villa, where the first thing my wife notices is the dual head shower in the Master Bathroom…the lighted makeup mirror and the closet with a set of six Large Beach towels and 15 oversized bathroom towels…Did I mention great amenities…
On to the chef’s kitchen where there is the stocked refrigerator with fresh milk, eggs, a gallon of purified drinking water (also a water purification system, next to the washer and dryer, for refilling each day) … And, oh yes, a chilled bottle of Chardonnay and two local craft brews, just in case we were thirsty.
On the kitchen counter was a basket of fruit with a mixture of limes, lemons, apples, and a Big ole Pineapple. Off goes Richard to his other chores.…
Back to the villa where my wife unpacks, and I proceed to make a couple of mojitos with an oversized ice cube in each glass. We proceed to sit out on the veranda and enjoy a magnificent sunset…
The next six days are pure magic.
Thank you, Richard and “Jo”, for a truly memorable vacation…One that we will treasure for many years to come. Not to mention, the many years we will return.
