The Perfect Country Getaway

Dorloo Country escape features 3 bedrooms (1 queen, 1 full, 2 double beds) as well as a 4th room with a sofa bed. The house has 1 1/2 baths, a full kitchen, dining area and cozy living room with gas fireplace. The majestic country setting has mountain views and plenty of privacy. We have an outdoor fire pit and provide all of the wood! This rental is an addition on the property's main house, but offers all the privacy of a separate home, including private entrance, patio, and yard. The house sits on 2 acres, but is surrounded by 150 acres of land (sorry no hunting). A perfect getaway for families or friends! Dorloo is located about 25 minutes from Cooperstown (23 miles or about 33 minutes from Cooperstown Dreams Park), 10 minutes from Sharon Springs, 15 minutes from Cobleskill, and 1 hr 15 mins from Saratoga Springs!

Wonderful experience

We all really enjoyed our stay. The home owners were very nice! We were able to pet the chickens, puppies, and horses. The area is so peaceful and quiet. We will definitely stay again. The house is very nice and clean.

Great place

Quiet, clean. A big plus that it’s pet friendly. On the backroads so if you’re looking for big city might not be your place. If you want quiet work a lovely view, look closer at this listing.

Cozy, Relaxing Place in the Middle of Farmland

Our son played at Cooperstown AllStars for a week. It was about a 35 minute drive from there. It was quiet, spacious and accommodating to our two dogs. It was a nice escape.

College visit for daughter.

We had to stay close to Cobleskill so that our daughter could visit with two coaches at the college. Great location, very quiet, beautiful views. Was able to cook our own food and feel rested for the days that we were visiting. We will be back when she commits.

Great quiet Place to enjoy peace and quiet.

The family in front house so helpful and nice. I love watching the chicken run around and kids did too. So peaceful and quiet. So beautiful back yard to have cup of coffee anytime of day. Would stay again if ever out that way. Just so relaxing. Thank you for everything.

A Country Delight

Great location for us, beautiful view from our kitchen door. Loved watching the chickens running in the yard & they were not bothered by our dog being there. The accommodations were more than adequate for two people and would be good for several others. If we're back in the area we'll most likely return to The Perfect Country Getaway. Thank you Debra.

Amazing!!!

The house was just as described. It was so homey for our small family thanksgiving vacation. The view is breathtaking and so peaceful. It snowed thanksgiving day and the owners were so amazing cleaning the property and even helped cleaned our cars. They even went far and beyond and mailed our stuff to us that my husband accidently threw in the garbage. I would def stay at this location again locatio. Againthrew in the gargabeTheu

Awesome home!

We came to the area for a wedding in Tallahassee. Since it was a football weekend lodging in Tallahassee was expensive and in short supply. Toska's house in Monticello was wonderful. We had eight people from three different families that all had to dress for a formal wedding. The house was perfect. Spacious and immaculate. Beds were super comfortable and the swimming pool was very enjoyable for some down time in the afternoon.

The property was great except for flies and other bugs that would come into the house but it couldn't be helped due to the time of year. The owners of the property were very accommodating and nice. I brought three dogs and the owner's were very welcoming and helpful with sharing their property with our dogs. I highly recommend this property!

Secluded and peaceful

The owner lives in the house attached to this listing. They were very friendly. The only issue we had, was the clothes washer was not working. She let us know when we arrived, and it was fine! She offered to do some laundry, if we needed.

Home Away from Home

If you like country living, peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Everything I needed to be comfortable was provided. If you want to do the tourist thing in Cooperstown, but have a getaway at the end of the day, it's perfect. I don't like to be around noise or hustle and bustle, so I was quite content. The cleanliness of the place could be stepped up a bit, but other than that, it was just fine.

Nice and quiet

This property was clean and sufficient for 6 people. The hosts were very responsive when a need arose. The only issue we had were the flying bugs that seemingly come out of nowhere at night when lights are on in the house. We had to make sure to keep all lights off when the sun went down to prevent the bugs from taking over. Other than that, we were satisfied with our week’s stay. The scenery is beautiful.

The best vacation

Our family came for a week of baseball in Cooperstown. The views here are amazing. My kids had their own space to relax while also enjoying visiting the animals. Would love to visit again.
