Wonderful place! We hung out at the Villa and enjoyed the pool and the air conditioning since it was hot and it was really comfortable. Has its own covered parking.

Wonderful property and experience! Close to everything. Sami was great host!

My girlfriend and I just spent 7 days at this great property. It is private and clean. It is centrally located, with short walks to beach and restaurants. Plus the market is on the corner. The home has everything you need. Wildlife all around the area. Sam was an amazing host. We will definitely be going back and staying in Sam's properties!!

My two kids, my husband and I stayed at Villa Guanacaste for a week. We had a great time. It is really a nice place in a nice spot. We were near a supermarket and restaurants. The "Brunella's beach" is also close. At our arrival, we were in good hands with Rachel, the hostess, because the owner wasn't available. Almost everyday, she was checking if we were fine. We definetly recommande this place!

Beautiful house in great location

We loved this place! It was perfectly situated for the shops and restaurants of Santa Teresa. The beach is very close by (you can hear the ocean from the villa). The villa itself is beautiful. It is secluded and peaceful and everything is clean and decorated to a very high standard. There is everything you need there to have a luxurious, comfortable stay. There is a lovely swimming pool and the furnishing is just perfect. The cleaner comes in every day so everything is kept beautifully. The owner Sam provided us with plenty of useful information for surf lessons, where to eat etc and was always helpful with any requests. I would definitely recommend booking this house.

FANTASTIC PLACE!!

We shared the villa with another couple for 6 nights and couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our vacation. The house is beautiful, private and well appointed. It is centrally located and an easy walk to a large variety of restaurants. Sam and his assistant Elad were both extremely helpful in coordinating excursions, dinners and recommending things to do/see. All of our questions were promptly answered. The town of Santa Teresa is a hidden gem. Every place we ate at had amazing food made with the freshest ingredients. The prices were more than reasonable and the locals are very friendly. If you are thinking of visiting Santa Teresa, this is the place to stay! Thank you Sam for sharing your Villa with us. Wonderful place at Santa Teresa

My family and I had an incredible time on and could not have been happier with where we stayed. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your condo. We loved everything about it and did not have a single complaint! This is a hidden gem. We found it to be very spacious and beautifully furnished with attention to detail and excellent value for money. Nice pool by the way. There is also a well equiped kitchen for those who like to self cater on holiday. There are a clothes washing machine and tumble dryer. No dish washing machine whatsoever but there is home service everyday. This house is also well located amongst local shops and restaurants (great pizza!) The beach is a mere 100 yards from the apartment, with lovely sand and warm sea. The owner Sam and friends were fabulous to deal with and we wouldn’t hesitate to rent this house again. We would recommend this condo to everyone we hear that have an interest in staying in Santa Teresa. Your suggestions on everything to do were spot on and helped us tremendously! When ever we return we will be sure to get in touch with you.

Villa Guanacaste was top notch! Seriously one of the best places to stay in Sant Teresa!

The property was absolute amazing! Sam is one of a kind! A complete delight! Welcomed us with open arms and smiles. Gave us a quick run down of the property and set us up with all the best places to eat with in walking distance. A must is Tomates right down the road. So delicious! My kids ate here ever day. Honestly the pictures do not do this property justice. Simply stunning! We we’re in the pool from sun up to sundown! Late night swims were the best! If you pick this property you’ll have all your friends wishing they picked it first. Location, location, location! It’s in the middle of everything. We also had the pleasure of viewing another one of Sams properties which sits directly above Villa Guanacaste! And wow I’m sure glad we did. It is totally unbelievable. Simply breath taking! Fun had by all!

Our 12 night stay at this villa was fabulous. We loved the central location in Santa Teresa, but up the hill away from the noise in our quiet little paradise. We rented a golf cart to get around the town and found we explored more as there is so much too see. It was so convenient to have the grocery store at the bottom of our road, we referred to it as our pantry! The pool size was surprisingly generous with the four of us with its different levels to lounge. There is plenty of space to relax even with four adults...loungers for us all! Our only disappointment was the ill equipped kitchen. Minimal dishes, poor quality plastic glasses, and the blender didnt work. Its hard to cook when the cutlery and knives are poor quality. ( we were given a bottle of champagne to enjoy in leau of the broken blender but than we couldnt enjoy the alcohol we bought for our blender drinks) So we just ate out...we loved Caracolas on the beach,Habaneras on the beach, and Banana Beach. The cleaning service daily was nice as it does get pretty dusty. We loved our stay here and would come again! Kayleigh and Adrian were amazing hosts and made our stay phenomenal! They met us as soon as we arrived and arranged excursions and rentals for us. They had many suggestions for restaurants and beaches to visit. Dissappointing and unrespectful (we where a party of 4)

Context: 4 adults/2 couples rented for three days! Let me begin by stating that I have traveled abroad extensivly and rented several homes abroad. I am not a capricious person and can adapt to almost all conditions. However the lack of respect is one of those that I can’t and will not adapt to. The owner of this home has no clue what that means and is a rude self absorbed individual. The arrival information was sent one day before our arrival, when we contacted him on the morning of our arrival to confirm, he procedeed to scream at us and hung up the phone on three occasions. The home is beautiful as on the pictures and well situated. However there are several irritances: -one of the rooms had blood stained sheets! -utensils and dishware are at a minimum (2 glass wines, 1 glass glass, 4 dishes). We asked the owner for two more wine glasses which never came... -there is a constant parade of different people showing up at different hours to perform maintenance tasks (house keeping, gardner, pool boy) on a DAILY basis. -we where two couples and only had one set of keys!!! -on the second day we woke up to have no more water on the premise. Which was however resolved within 4 hours. -The pool filtration system is one a timer and turns off in the evening and starts up after 9 am, causing the pool to have several insects and other particles floating in there for your early morning swim. The saying in Costa Rica is « pura vida » denotes a simple life with no fus, no stress and focus on the positive. It does not mean disrespect and non responsibilation. On that Pura Vida.

The house was amazing and also have cleaning crew everyday also doing our laundry. Only 3 min walking distance to a good surf spot. Local grocery store is around the corner along with several good restaurants. Definitely coming back.

Wonderful place to stay to enjoy the Santa Teresa area. Perfect location, middle of town so easy to walk, but off the main road do it was perfectly quiet. Just up the hill on a paved/brick road, but located before the step hill climbed up to the next homes. Very private, very relaxing. Arrival was super easy and the concierge was very attentive and helpful. No one bothered us but they were available anytime we needed anything. Loved the pool, the beds, the porches, the kitchen. Wonderful spot!

Come to Villa Guanacaste!!

I came to Costa Rica as a sort of writers retreat. It was very important for me to find a home that would be warm and inviting, so I could submerse myself in my writing, peacefully. Turns out I picked the perfect place!! Villa Guanacaste is beautifully decorated, has all the comforts of home, and is super quiet!! I highly recommend this place for your next trip!!!

Villa Guanacaste Review

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Guanacaste. The home was beautiful, well appointed and laid out. It is about a 100M walk to the main road and a grocery store is just at the main road which was very convenient. Sam and his team were incredible! PURA VIDA!

My wife and I are still in complete and total awe with the experience we had in wonderful Santa Teresa and time spent at Villa Guanacaste. It still brings a smile to my face and to think about the excellent quality time I had there with my family and friends. I can not picture many places like the one Sam has created. From the moment we got there Sam greeted us with such a warm welcome and completely put our minds at ease. He was a wonderful host and concierge! Sam showed us the in’s and outs of the villa and how to maximize its potential. Sam also showed us maps of the most beautiful beaches, recommended many restaurants, things to do, and booked us quads for our time there. We were also traveling with our two children and Sam even went out of his way to show them how to navigate the the tv remote and watch movies in English! Sam lives up the hill on the same road which made my wife feel very safe. I had read some past reviews before our stay and have to disagree with many of the negative things that were said. The owner was never rude and the kitchen was well equipped. We ate at home on a few occasions having everything we needed. Remember, you’re in beautiful Costa Rica, if there are few wine glasses just Pura Vida! and drink from the bottle! Bedding was clean and towels plentiful! Maid service came everyday to keep things tight! Parking is covered with enough room for a large suv or truck and two quads. Villa completely gated, Air conditioning was as expected in main living area and bedrooms. The villa also had a safe for valuables. We spent many afternoons by the pool enjoying the tropical landscape and taking in the wildlife who visited us. Many birds, lizards and our new friend “Pedro” the big green iguana who lives in the drainage pipe by the pool. My kids and wife loved him! We could hear the howler monkeys in the early mornings and evenings, so cool! All in all Villa Guanacaste is an ideal choice for a high end vacation experience. I look forward to visiting again when we return!

Wow, an amazing designed house in a hill side, walking distance to a beautiful beach.

Its an amazing villa, very well designed. The attention of details are very well thought- you are in a house surrounded by nature. The house is on a small hill, and walking distance to the best beach! The host Sam is always available to help in anything about the area, and he has the best recommendations of restaurants and things to do. The cleaning staff are super good, they come everyday. You would not be in a better place in Santa teresa than in Villa Guanacaste. I loved eveything about my stay here!

So many great features in one lovely home

Super clean home with great feng shui. We were able to get into the vacation frame of mind immediately upon settling in thanks to the feel and features of this place. Great house!

Really nice house, perfectly design, with a great pool and perfect location just a few steps from the beach! very well equipped! We found everything very clean and organize! Unbelievable home that will surpass your expectations on all levels.

This home is unbeleivable and pictures can't truly represent how magnificent this dwelling is or the luxury and comfort that it provides. We stayed 7 nights and were blown away by the house as well as the amazing owner. Sam will treat you like family. He is very knowledgeable and will share his wisdom of things to do and where to go and it will definitely enhance your stay. The home is close to all the action, the beach and shops but it also secluded in nature at the same time. You will feel secure and like you are in your own private rain forest with all the luxuries of your own home and more. Then, when you are ready you can walk to the beach and to shops in no time at all. It is so convenient. You will love the shower and the soaking tub. The pool is great and very well maintained. The internet is blazing fast and the TV's are perfect with everything you need in case you want to watch something. The cleaning team makes your home perfectly clean everyday and you feel like you have found the best place to stay in Costa Rica because you have. Pura Vida.

Beautiful, clean and calm villa close to the beach

We absolutly loved the villa <3 the owner is very nice and helpful. There is a lot of love for every detail. Insane lights and the shower is so nice. The beds are comfortable and everything was very clean. We have no complains. The beach is in walking distance so as the grocery store. We defenetly recommend this place.

Stunning, stylish and unique villa perfect for friends

I stayed here with my husband and another couple for 9 days in March. We were not disappointed! The villa is so beautifully designed and as the others have said, photos do not do this place justice. I am a very picky traveller and was so pleased we committed to staying here for the whole 9 days. I was slightly worried that we might be overlooked by other properties but it felt really private and was a quiet haven away from the main stretch which is a 2 minute walk (with a supermarket at the bottom for ease!). We even had a few visits from an iguana which we fondly named Ronny, which was such a treat. Sam the owner was incredibly friendly & helpful and made himself available on whatsapp for literally whatever we wanted. We're all dying to return! Thank you Sam for making our stay so memorable :)
