Rooms very clean and quiet. Property well maintained with unique path to rooms. Complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious! No TV’s in any rooms-take a good book. Beach easy 5 minute walk. Bar & dining area staff were excellent. Dining is semi outside and no AC (typical of most dining in Costa Rica). We were there end of April, thru first week of May and missed the rains. Entrance up to hotel parking lot might be tricky in rainy season? We enjoyed our stay at the Nya and would recommend.

Nya is a beautiful property with wildlife all around. I was able to watch a family if howler monkeys from the hammock outside my room. They left me a yummy dessert daily in my room they put in while I was out. The free breakfast menu had a variety of options including vegetarian. Property is town so walkable and beach is right across flyer road from the property. Got the best massage there as well.

Comfortable clean rooms, lovely staff, excellent yoga instructors, brilliant location. Restaurant menu was a little over ambitious although the banana macadamia nut pancakes and the sorbets are excellent. Very good cocktails.

Nya is a beautiful property, secluded and peaceful but right on the edge of town so everything is walkable. The room was immaculate, large, and well lit; the grounds beautiful, and the pool area was shaded and quiet and very clean. It’s an oasis of calm in paradise. One complaint - the restaurant looks lovely, and the food is very good, but it’s expensive, the service is poor, and there is simply not the same care factor as for the rest of the property. It’s a shame, because with a little improvement it would be outstanding. A particular note - it turns out that while the menu marks many items as gluten free, they are not, in fact, gluten free. As a coeliac, this is a problem for me - it did not seem to bother the restaurant staff though!! My summary - stay here, but take advantage of the proximity to town and eat elsewhere - there are much better options.

Most relaxing hotel I have every stayed at
This has to be the best hotel I have ever stayed at and I have been all over the world! The surroundings are just so relaxing. Nice and shaded. I stayed for 5 nights and kept finding a new spot to chill out each evening ie one of the hammocks dotted about, seating or just at the pool. The bar/restaurant adjacent serves delicious food and drink that is very reasonably priced. The room smelt so clean and fresh and was so nice to walk into on return from a (hot and sweaty) hike. Beach and Montezuma town is on your doorstep also.

Idyllic hotel surrounded by jungle
A beautiful place with helpful staff and lots of thoughtful touches, like the organic insect repellent and a proper kettle, mugs and milk in the room. Delicious treats arrived daily. Stunning setting surrounded by masses of wildlife though the drive down is a little hairy in the dark - the last bit of road is terrible. Nearby beaches are quiet and pretty. Comfortable beds and lovely private terrace. Good breakfasts and cocktails. Excellent yoga classes with the loveliest teacher were an unmissable start to the day. The only slight negatives were the lack of hot water (though it was so hot outside it didn’t really matter) and some of the restaurant staff seemed a little inexperienced and in need of training. But we’d return in a heartbeat!

Very nice property in this quaint town. Service was impeccable. Complimentary breakfast was wonderful. Excellent water pressure. Property was located steps from beach and town. The beach in this area is a little rocky, but a 20 minute hike to Playa Grande and you will be at one of the most gorgeous beaches for surfing and swimming. It includes a nice little water hole on the way. If I go back to this area, I would stay here again. Nice job NYA!

Nya Hotel is a beautiful property surrounded by nature and short walking distance to the beach. The pool area is lovely and it's really amazing to swim and chill out while a bunch of monkeys are playing around on the trees. The rooms are nice, not huge but roomy enough. I found the mattress and the pillow quite uncomfortable (not used to hard mattress and airy pillow) but the staff really tried to be helpful about it. If you like hot showers, you need to get up early, no hot water after 8am, but I guess it is understandable for a small hotel on the beach - It didn't ruin the experience for me and the weather was very hot for the most part anyway. The restaurant is nice -- Good chicken sandwich and burgers and I loved that they can make fresh fruit juices whenever! Some staff members are nicer than others but altogether, at least from our experience, it's probably the best restaurant in town. We definitely recommend Nya hotel!

Lovely hotel....restaurant staff needs help.
The front desk clerks were super helpful, welcomed us with sparkling wine and at first we felt at home. Had a lovely yoga session. The rooms are small but great balconies with surrounding trees and animals. I loved being right in town. The main complaint was staff in the restaurant. At dinner and at 2 breakfasts we really felt like we were putting the staff out by just being there, it was not a welcoming restaurant. Overall I did enjoy the hotel though.

Nya us a really beautiful place with amazing beaches around. You can have many adventures staying here, like waterfalls, rivers, monuments and a national park. It's a really natural environment not full of hotels or urban development.

Ideally located in downtown montezuma. 200m from the beach and 200m from the center of the village. Fantastic free breakfast every morning with at least 10 to 15 different options. Chef Keilor manage thé restaurant and cooked for us unforgettable dinners!!! All cocktails are just amazing!!!

The property is pretty with a very nice garden lush setting. The issue was not the overall hotel but our room. We had the standard king bed room (it was all that was available) and I cannot recommend it at all. It's on the ground floor with sliding glass doors that lead to nothing (you can't go outside). There are some trees and shrubbery and beyond that a path that is used quite a it, so you can't leave the curtains open ever. It feels like you're in a basement apartment, dark and damp with much too bright overhead lighting. We made mistake of turning off AC when out and came back to a very wet floor in bedroom and bathroom. Even leaving the AC running all day it felt damp and our clothes never dried. I would not stay in this room again and recommend you look elsewhere if this is the only type of room left to book on property.

We are sorry you had this experience, the humidity in Costa Rica is very high, and though we urge our guests to use AC in the dry mode, it is always a challenge with the condensation, especially as we are inverse in the jungle, so many trees hold higher levels of humidity. We do offer laundry services to our guests who would like to get their garments washed, it takes more than two days to get clothes dry if the line hangs, and this also makes them smell bad; it is just the reality of our area. We recommend next time you treat yourself to our balcony room or even a terrace so you can open sliding doors that lead you to a balcony or terrace. Again thanks for your visit and your feedback

Haven on earth
Loved Nya hotel. Location is amazing, by the beach, you can hear the sound of the ocean from you room. Nested in a lash garden. Food was delicious and in a nice outdoor restaurant. Pool is good size and very refreshing. We will be back. Yoga studio in the open with the trees view, incredible

This property was so beautiful and everyone working there was so kind and helpful. The restaurant staff was my favorite, they made us feel welcome and the food is some of the best I’ve had in Costa Rica and we’ve been all over the country. We will definitely be back.

It a magic! Wonderful hotel in the jungle and at the same time on the beach you can hear the ocean at your room. The place is beautiful, full with trees and animals, it is very peaceful environment. You can relax next to the pool or at your room balcony with birds flying around. The restaurant is very good, chef’s restaurant with great portions and perfect service. In general the service in the hotel is extremely good, the staff are just great. You get go around to the village it is walking distance of 1 minute. Highly recommended if you are looking for quiet and unique place. Additional as EXPEDIA VIP the benefits are great, much appreciated.

The hotel is beautiful, brand new in Montezuma. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. It’s the little things here that really stand out… an umbrella at your door if it starts to rain, a little snack dropped off every afternoon, really nice touches! Highly recommend

exceptipnal property, 2 minutes from the beach, clean and well designed rooms. front desk staff was super accommodating with everything we needed, and overall very friendly, which for us made what would have been a great stay into an exceptional stay. overall the property is well kept with lush vegetation, great restaurant, central to everything (but still quiet). we ended up extending for two nights longer than we originally planned for, and would certainly stay here again when we are back in montezuma.
