"We loved Shutters on the Banks and will stay there again when in the area. The staff was very welcoming and helpful in giving us information about the area. The room was comfortable with beautiful decor. Breakfast was very good and the dining area very well-done and comfortable. The balcony right off our room allowed us to drink our morning coffee while watching the sun-rise. We then took a walk to the beach, then enjoyed the hot-tub and pool. Great location with access to popular sites. "

"The hotel is absolutely amazing. Breakfast starts at 7:00 so I feel like that's an hour too late. The bed is terrible it is hard almost like sleeping on the floor. But other than that the hotel is beautiful."

"Walt is a creeper that cares more about trying to Big Dawg the guests so he can attempt to impress his co-workers that are by in large 50 years younger than him, than he does being hospitable. He’s totally lost the plot and believes he’s the main character. We’re all there to bolster his ego. People that talk about Southern Hospitality, have clearly not traveled very much because in all my travels have not experienced worse hospitality anywhere in the world. It’s sad because it’s a decent place in a good location and if it were properly managed the place would do a killing, instead you have a total buffoon managing it that’s got everyone wound so tight that they are screaming at you from across the lobby over other guests for some minor perceived infraction or threatening to call the police on you for trying to retrieve a Amazon package from the front desk. Seriously stay away, you’ve been warned. Walt, semantics would be calling you anything other than totally inept and bald. "
