"We had 9 people coming in from VA, SC, TN, IL, and CA for a family wedding. Choosing to stay here was the most cost effective way for us to spend time together as a group. The house felt like home almost immediately. The host also runs a restaurant and brought over a pie shortly after the first of us arrived. The only awkward part is the upstairs restroom is inside one of the bedrooms, making it a challenge to use without disturbing those in that room (we filled the house to capacity). We made it work for our limited time there. Overall, it was a nice experience."

"We loved this charming, beautiful home that was rich with history and warmth. It was the perfect spot for my family to get together for an event at Hampden Sydney College. The house has many many amenities. The hosts were responsive and very pleasant to communicate with. We would definitely stay at this property again!!"

"The location to start was absolutely amazing, quite little area with friendly neighbors, my children quickly made friends. The house was beautiful, very cozy, even my children was in love with the house, its was very clean with everything we needed. Not to mention the host is the best. We had a 14 hour drive to arrive and she checked in during our drive to make sure we was safe and time of arrival so she could have everything ready for us, she even checked in to make sure we made it home safely! We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights most definitely wished we had more time! The house is very roomy which myself and the kids loved, we enjoyed family time in the frontroom, family game night on the screened in back patio, which was the boys hang out during the day when they wanted boy time. 10/10 recommend for a peaceful getaway! "
