"This was a great stay! Being a castle and older building, we weren’t sure how modern the facilities would be but we were pleasantly surprised to find a room which blended the charm and heritage of the castle, with everything you need today. Pianos throughout were a great touch too! "

"We stayed in numerous B&Bs during our 3+ weeks in Ireland and Sharamore house was definitely a favorite. It was great base for us to explore the Connemara area. The room was spacious, and the breakfasts were excellent. We really enjoyed our stay of 3 nights with Sue and John. They are very hospitable hosts who know the area extremely well. Their central location on the peninsula was just right for us, one day exploring northwards to Kylemore Abbey, the Killary Fjord and a hike in Connemara NP. The next exploring Sky road, Clifden Castle, and going south by the beaches on the Roundstone loop. If you're looking for a quiet, scenically located B&B run by people who know how to do it right, this one is for you."

"We had an excellent time on Connemara, and this house was a comfortable, beautiful home base. Beds, showers, kitchen amenities, view, and everything were lovely. "

"We were not booked in via Vrbo ? Apparently it had to be done manually? Clearly the communication between Vrbo and The Ivy was not working, however a room was found for us, had to be changed from a double to a twin as per specifics of our booking. Newly decorated and carpeted room, very lovey, dated shower and NO mattress cover on the my single bed ? Yuk. Room not refreshed on day 2, no replenished milk/tea coffee etc. Despite this we were made welcome and the breakfast was lovely - thank you, would visit again but would book direct next time "

"Wonderful stay at Ivy Rooms for the Clifden Trad Music Festival. Convenient to eveything, did get in tge car for two days! Walked everywhere. Breakfast was fabulous. Staff was fabulous."
