"We loved it. Fishing was excellent; "loon island" is incredible. We loved kayaking. The cabin was so comfortable and relaxing. No dishwasher but it worked out...the view out the window while you wash is beautiful:) Loved the mix of woods and lake. Basically equidistant between Eagle River and Three Lakes which was perfect for us. We had two kids (ages 10 and 15) and 4 adults (parents and grandparents) and it was a nice amount of space. The basement games, table and couch/tv are nice but so is the view from main floor which has no TV. Loft bedroom was like a dream treehouse. The grade down to the pier/water is pretty steep; grandparents did not do it but it worked out fine for the rest of us. Enjoyed the fire pit too even amid the wet wood we were dealing with because it had been raining ;) Small hiccup while checking in but host was very responsive and helpful such that I hesitate to even mention it. We really hope to go back sometime!"

"Entering the house with zen music playing on the TV up and downstairs was a nice touch. The home has so many windows with a gorgeous view, we enjoyed it even with the rain and hail storms. It is a quick ride into Eagle River for shopping. Everything was very clean, kitchen is well stocked with gadgets and dishes et al. We had an easy and relaxing stay. We would definitely return. I struggled finding the remote for the fan (for those who will be there next it is a silver remote with blue, yellow and orange buttons, it is a universal remote for the tv as well). The area was quiet during the week (we stayed Monday thru Friday). The eagles, loons, deer were abundant."

"This was our second year of staying at the owl’s nest in three lakes! It is such a sweet lovely little cottage that we were so looking forward to coming back to! Everyone involved with that cottage is so kind and so helpful and so neighbor friendly! We will be back again next year and we know it will be another great week of relaxing, rejuvenating and enjoying the owl’s nest!"

Luxury Lodge on Eagle River Chain of Lakes! With a Fireplace and dock!

"The house was awesome. It had large bedrooms, a great kitchen and dining (we had 10 people). The bathrooms were nice too. The lake views were amazing. The water frontage was really nice. It was sandy and shallow (like 6" off shore) and then steadily dropped to about 4 feet. We fished off the dock and caught some fish. We loved the firepit by the shore. Spent many hours there at night.The house was well lit and had plenty of windows. It was a great location. We used to have a family property about 4 miles down the road, so we were very familiar with the area. And really like Catfish Lake, so it was a perfect spot for us to rent. It was very quiet. The other great thing is that there is very little boat traffic by the house, so it was very peaceful. Camp Ojibwa is just down the shore, so in the summer times when all the kids are in camp, it may be a little less peaceful there than when we stayed the last week in August. The only complaints (and they are minor). The beds were not the greatest in the master suite and the main bedroom off the living room). For a place of this quality the beds could be better. Also the couches in the first floor living room left a lot to be desired. The management company was very responsive. We had a few questions prior to and during our stay and they responded quickly. We will be back."
