"I was not impressed. There’s 2 stagnant shallow pools; no jacuzzi. ‘Ocean view’ room was overlooking the local fractional townhouses. Did not feel like their profile pictures. Not a lot to do there - They have no bikes, no scooters, anything like that. The only option to get anywhere is to wait for their van. Even the beach had assigned seating, it was weird. I did not like it here."

"This was my third trip to Bermuda Unfortunately, Grotto Bay did not live up to the standards of other resorts on the island. The front end needs a course on customer service. Day prior to my arrival, I called and requested earlier check in at 2 pm and was told there are no guarantees…it ended there. Booked 5 nights here and called guest services several times to book a massage and no answer. Left a message at the front desk told to keep calling back she was busy. On my third day I was finally able to book a massage. The rooms are outdated and need refreshing. On a positive note beautiful view from my room, mattress was comfy, and the sheets were clean. This resort is sprawling and very hilly take note if you have mobility issues. Breakfast buffet $31 pp good selection to choose from. During my trip I booked some excursions off site and received the warm welcoming vibe that Bermuda is known for. Unfortunately it fell flat here and the hospitality standard needs a major overhaul! "

"The stay and location was lovely, but we have objections about hidden fees. At the start they asked for over $3000 to hold for 'incidental costs' and assured us that it would be returned to us if we didn't do anything. We thought this was awfully high, but then discovered that they kept most of it at the end with some fees that make sense, but others that make none, such as an 'Accommodation Fee' of $1000 each night. What was the purpose of paying for a hotel room if we had to pay even more for it by being 'accommodated' in it?"

"Wayne was an excellent host and made us feel welcome right away by coming to introduce himself when we arrived. Before our trip, I asked about nearby supermarkets, and he was very helpful—there’s one just a 6–8 minute walk away, which was incredibly convenient.The property itself is lovely and was perfect for my husband, our adult son, and me. It’s located in a quiet area, and even though I’ve traveled to Bermuda six times before, this stay offered exactly the kind of relaxation we were looking for.One of my favorite moments was sitting just beyond the pool, reading my book while overlooking the water—it was peaceful and truly special."

"Great little condo that's a ten minute walk to the gorgeous Tobacco Bay beach. It's about a 15 mi ute walk to town for shops and restaurants. The condo itself was clean and nice. We had everything we needed including beach chairs which we greatly appreciated. Be aware that any taxi, tour, or car service struggles to find the address so proactive with anyone coming to pick you up! Otherwise highly recommend. "

"Chris and Gail are wonderful hosts. We were greeted by Chris and given a quick overview of the place plus there was a booklet that had listings of tours and their phone numbers if we needed to reach them. The property is beautiful . There is a close line on the property around back which was great for hanging out wet bathing suits. The beach and market are close too. Just down the hill is the bus stop to get into Hamilton or St George's . We did use Hitch which is like Uber and it was great service . I would highly recommend this location. "
