"This is a great house for a crowd with open, welcoming kitchen/living room with a view in an amazing isolated spot overlooking a beach along the NC500. Sheep in the front and the waterfall a wee walk in the back. Good spot for a family or a big group of friends (lots of twin beds, and nearly all rooms have private bath) with amazing facilities to feed a big group (two dishwashers, two fridges, good pots, pans etc). "The cottage was in a very scenic and peaceful setting which suited us. We used the cottage as a base for some local walks and other walks further afield. We discovered that the cottage was about 10 miles from the nearest main road and it took about 30 to 40 minutes of driving on a single track road to get to the main road. The nearest grocery stores were in Lochinver. There was quite a lot of traffic on the single track road,with people visiting the lovely beaches at Auchmelvich and Clactoll....

"Very comfy and cosy house, it’s in a small village which isn’t clear but has a lovely back and front garden. Just a quick walk to the amazing beach The road I thought might be busy with 500 ers but they had to drive slowly so wasn’t noisy. Bring a sharp knife!"

"Lovely place with fantastic views and a sunset to die for. 2 mins walk to beach, very peaceful. The whole place was very high end and well cared for. Sean greeted us at the property, handed us slippers and showed us round. Even brought us 2 chairs for the patio when we asked. We felt we were in a 5* hotel and a little bit nervous of living up to the exacting standards...every surface was covered, even the sofa. Notices everywhere! Despite that we loved every minute. "Lovely location as a base to explore the North West coast of the Highlands. Spacious house, good wood burner, good sized rooms, well equipped kitchen with all you'd expect. My only complaint would be a lack of some sundries, such as there were only a few toilet rolls between us 7 adults and 2 children - 2 out of the 3 bathrooms we used ran out of toilet paper. Excellent hotel and food
"Excellent hotel and food in very rural hamlet on mountain road. Food is preordered for the evening if having meal . Beware hotel is on a mountain road with very very narrow width just width of car with blind corners and drops. Make sure come up from Lochinver not the other end or else you wish you hadnt if meet the motor caravans with no where to pull over. You be lucky to get out of 2nd gear. Dont attempt to drive this road if not a confident driver or novice. Be warned !! Barriers appear to be optional. On plus note highly recommend hotel and food. A short few minutes walk will bring you to a spectacular view point. "
