"The property owner needs to find a new cleaning crew ASAP! The house was not cleaned well when we arrived. It was slightly spot cleaned, from what I could tell. There was trash left around the house. I dropped my charger behind a dresser and when I moved it there was a LOT of old Kleenex’s and medication packages. One bed had a huge pee spot right in the middle of the bed that soaked all the way to the mattress. I went to wash the sheets and the washing machine had a large amount of old stagnant water in the well, so we had to drain that and wash the inside of the washing machine. The dishwasher didn’t work. The grill was left in horrible shape and was unusable. The yard was not mowed and came up to my daughter’s knees in some areas. The back shed was a safety hazard to say the least and the patio was constantly wet for no reason (it hadn’t rained). The screen on the patio was ripped all over so bugs were everywhere. The house has very few amenities. Bring your own towels, sheets, pillows, kitchen supplies and toiletries. We apparently didn’t fill out a random form sent to us (I told her a few weeks ago that the link never worked and she never sent me a new link) and the owner never checked to make sure we were still coming, so I never got a check-in email and had to contact the host the night we arrived just to get in the house. For the price we paid, I expected so much more. There’s a lot of room in the house but not a comfortable place to stay. Disappointed!"

"The Exchange was a lovely, nostalgic home environment for my out-of-state guests; perfect location, meeting our needs.My guests did have a few hiccups with the additional bedding options provided. However, the guests suggested some, hopefully, useful feedback which was very openly acknowledged through excellent communication with Ron Henry.All stated that they would definitely stay at The Exchange again in the future!"

"Check in was easy, house was clean and the perfect size for 6 of us. Pool was nice touch! Definitely will stay again of we are ever back in the area!"

"We planned a trip to San Antonio to visit family and friends and decided to try a rental using VRBO. When we arrived at the house we noticed broken blinds through the front window which did not make a great first impression. When we opened the front door I could immediately see the kitchen window had a horizontal crack, when I went up to photograph the damage I seen dried food stuck to the floor in front of the stove, my wife inspected the bathroom and bedrooms and witnessed stained linen along with live and dead bugs on the floor of the bedroom. I also noticed the furnace filter closet was partially open, when I opened it I seen dirt dust and hair around the filter, after inspection of the filter it was dirty and water soaked. This house was damaged and filthy and needs repair before ever being listed again. I immediately asked for a full refund of 803.50 however, I was only given a partial payment of 639.03. I asked both VRBO and the renter for a full refund but am being told by the renter that Is up to VRBO to refund the full amount and by VRBO it’s up to the renter to refund the full payment. Renter beware!"
