"Where do I begin? I had no idea I was booking the most gorgeous room in the most stunning building in a perfect location. Add to that an amazing staff! Shout out to Marin who greeted us at the old city’s gate and insisting on lugging our 4 large pieces to the hotel. Always a smile on his face, sweet, happy, and informative. The whole staff was great but unfortunately I don’t recall their names. I can’t wait to recommend to friends who are planning a trip to Croatia. ❤️"

"This was the first hotel I have stayed at on vacation where I did not want to leave the hotel. Usually a hotel is a place to sleep and shower for me. The design of the hotel is beautiful. The restaurants and bar were incredible. We had a super-romantic dinner with a table right on the water and live music. You can sunbathe and jump in the Adriatic from the beach deck. The service was incredible. Knowledgeable and friendly front desk staff and attentive room service. I cannot say enough about Hotel Excelsior"

"I cannot recommend this property enough. When I booked it, I was immediately notified on it's location, instructions on how to get there and contact information for them. My flight to Dubrovnik was cancelled due to weather and I was unable to connect to the internet to contact them. No worry, when we landed back in Munich, they had already contacted ME, wished me well and hoped to see me the next day! Upon arriving a day late, someone was there to greet me, give me my key, show me the room and take my contact information and told me to get in touch if there was anything I needed! They made me feel like I was staying at my best friend's house! The property is in the middle of Old Town, convenient to EVERYTHING! They offer private transportation from the airport. The stairs and desk area were always spotless. The room itself was beautiful and had more amenities than described on Expedia. I had a double bed, incredible A/C unit that was also quiet, a small refrigerator, a hot water kettle, tea and coffee, a hair dryer and iron and more than enough extra towels and bedding. Everything in the room worked well - hot water was immediate. Although noisy at night (you ARE in the middle of Old Town, so what do you expect?), the windows are double paned, and with the hum of the A/C. I heard no outside noise! I was contacted several times during my eight day stay to see if I had any questions or needed anything! I will GLADLY stay here again! "
