"Overall, we enjoyed our stay in the village of Facinas. The residents of the village were very friendly, we never had an issue finding a parking spot within a block of the house, and there was a terrific little store (La Mariquita) that was an easy walk and had everything we needed. She even ordered gluten free bread for my wife and had it for me the next day. The one thing that was a little annoying was the layout of the house. And thought the description alludes to it, it's not clear through description or the pictures. The larger room, which has the en suite bathroom and the only shower in the house, is at the top of the stairs, with no door. Essentially, the room, with it's open bathroom and shower, are the top landing of the stairs. This was a little disappointing, because my wife and I would have loved to have had the larger room with the bathroom, but that would have essentially meant that our teenage son could never take advantage of the upstairs or the rooftop terrace. So instead, he basically had the upstairs to himself, and we remained downstairs unless we needed to use the only shower in the house. It was just kind of awkward. Hopefully this will give future visitors a better idea of what they're getting into. The house was also quite stuffy and musty, and we had to open all the windows whenever we came home to get some fresh air flowing. We saw a few cockroaches as well, so keep that in mind if you are squeamish about such things."

"We loved our tent, but it was in need of some repairs. There was wood that needed to be nailed/screwed so it was squeaking in the wind all night. We used a towel to wedge and mostly stop the noise. There was also a broken zipper on the main door but we know how tough that can be to fix and it wasnt an inconvenience. We were most impressed with the showers, WCs and laundry. One of the shower rooms wasn't as great but the one at the back of the property was incredible! Great water pressure, very hot water and very clean. We loved the kittens everywhere and they suprisingly didn't try to get in the tent which was nice. The fan and mini fridge made it too notch. And although sleep was gough due to high winds moving different parts of the tent around, the mattress and pillows were very comfortable. "
