We stayed here at the end of 21 days of safari and then a few days in Stone Town and it was the greatest two days of the trip. It's near the airport, so it's perfect to cap off a trip. The room was steps from a small private beach. It's not near anything but it was gorgeous and spotless and luxurious, which is exactly what we needed before the grueling trip home.

A wonderful hotel with horrible maintaincee

Excellent location. Clean big rooms but not maintained. AC didn't function properly and it is extremely hot. Bathroom taps and showers were broken needed replacing hence is my wash basin and shower a was a No No. When you speak to staff they either pretend to not understand the nature of complaints

Arrived in the evening to be told they were over booked. They sent us in the middle of the night to a nearby hotel with no hot water. As compensation we were only offered a free airport transfer, which is a value of like 2 bucks from that nearby. Trash fire of a hotel.

Most Horrible Experience of Life

Horrible hotel, unprofessional, pathetic, poor, shameless. We had paid booking for 4 single rooms, when we arrived we were told the booking is confirmed and paid but there are no rooms available and forced us to another lower class class hotel. To our surprise, we were offered two rooms in that lower class hotel. Had to beg for 4 rooms for an hour to get. Will never visit this hotel again.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the airport so if you have a late night flight this might be a great option for you. However, even though hotel description lists airport shuttle they do not in fact provide one. We contacted them in advance and although it was confirmed by them, they did not send anyone to meet us. We have heard the same story from other people who were staying at the hotel. Breakfast is provided, rooms have air conditioning and they provide beach towels, but the beach is rocky and during low tide you could be walking for miles until the water even hits your knees so not much swimming can be done in the ocean. They do have a small pool where one can refresh.

1st look its great but

First impressions this place looked great but sadly not so. The room was shabby, the AC was either freezing or off. The shower a trickle. The bed was hard. The staff spoke next to no English, the restaurant staff none at all, waited an hour for a sandwich, breakfast was even worse. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere at the end of a dirt track, there is no chance to walk anywhere for food or a drink. The AC leaked water all over the tiled floor and the patio sliding door was falling apart. It didnt shut so no way to secure the room. There wasnt any patio furniture. The decked areas were lethal, the planks so distorted, uneven and boards barely sitting on joists. The waterside at the back is all stone apart from mangrove there is nothing and although its not the hotels fault with the tide out it stinks. The wifi was terrible to the point it wasnt worth bothering. We booked here to enjoy our last day before a tea time flight the next day, I couldnt wait to leave for the airport
