"it was close to the train station which was nice seeing we took the Denali star to Talkeetna for a day trip. just a short walk. it was also close to many of the popular restaurants. staff was friendly and the shuttle was great the negative was our room had an issue with hot water that was eventfully sorted out "

"The room was spacious and clean with a nice view. Over the hotel was great. My only complaint was the parking situation. The hotel does not have any kind of parking lot or garage. The parking lot directly across the street front the entrance is a private lot by permit only. So your options are to park in a garage several blocks away and haul all your stuff over to hotel on foot, or pay $36 for valet. "

Management was informed of the 1 desk staff that seemed to be blah about Alaska in general. We did have confusion on a parking fee, but once it was explained it made sense, but was refunded to us anyway.
