I travel quite a bit, and having stayed at 100 hotels in 30 countries over the past decade, this place easily takes the grand prize for worst ever. The room was completely unheated (in the middle of winter), there was a faint but periodic noise during the night, and the fitness room was simply locked (at 10 am in the morning). The magnetic key card would not work twice in the row (with each time having to walk back to the reception from literally the very last room in this sprawling property. Meanwhile the staff seems condescending and seriously tries to tell the guest that it is their fault for having to sleep in a winter jacket, or else simply saying “sorry” and think that this is enough to smooth over the fact that they failed to provide the most basic service of all: a warm shelter. To top it all off, guests are literally forced to sign up for Hilton Honors (or else Internet would not be free like everywhere else), only to then provide a blanket password (doubletree2021) which has nothing to do with the HHonors login that did not work in any case. Absolutely atrocious consumer relations and incompetent staff, including the property manager (who fumbled for minutes in front of the fitness room without being able to open it, after staff did not respond to her call). I have never seen anything like it. In all fairness, the breakfast room was heated and the food quality there was fine.
