"Excellent staff, they went above and beyond. I unfortunately experienced a flat tire and my son got a nose bleed while I was checking in. The front desk staff immediately helped providing tissues and calming my son letting him know it’s was ok and it happens all the time. She was absolutely wonderful. When I parked and got to my room I realized I had a fast leak in my tire. The front desk provided me with a list of local mechanics to help get the tire repaired and me back on the road the next morning.
Restaurant on site was fantastic!
Only thing to note is there are no elevator on property so if you face a disabilities make sure you book a handicap accessible room in advance. This may be included in the details on the hotel wasn’t aware until check in."
"Excellent overall. As described in listing (Cowboy boutique Cabin) but with upgraded amenities (built-in heater in bathroom for cold mornings, antique lighting). No front desk staff so need to let them know your cell phone number if you book on a peripheral web site because these other websites don’t provide them with your number and they need your number to provide check-in instructions). Very clean (a little too clean if that’s possible - smell of strong cleanser when you first enter cabin). Overall excellent stay!"
"We really enjoyed our stay at the Canyon House. Was exactly what we were looking for. House is in such a beautiful setting. Well stocked. Loved our evening fires. Had amazing meals at Hells Backbone Grill and Sweetwater Kitchen. Kiva Koffeehouse was excellent also. Hikes, road trips and stars at night. Highly recommend!! Thanks for sharing your home."
"Too expensive. Some rancher started a hotel to make a killing I guess. Restaurant was mediocre to poor tasting food. Will stay out of Torrey in the future."
"We enjoyed our stay. We loved the unique experience and the location of the property. The only thing that was disappointing was the fact that there were cats living inside of the place. We did not see that not on the listing and we are not cat people. That was frustrating especially with the amount we paid to stay. "
