Breath taking views
The stay at the deck was wonderful overall. The property is a short drive from the local shops so ease to get supplies is great! It’s a quiet location & views were absolutely breathtaking. Hosts were quick to respond. I would suggest considering a glass fence across bottom deck, it would not impede on view but give a much more relaxing stay for anyone with children. Also would suggest a ladder being installed, as once in the water it is very hard to get back out. If someone fell in I would see this as necessary safety requirement. I found the property needed a good deep clean, as air-conditioner were very dusty but assumed this time of year bookings my be back to back but otherwise tidy. Perfect for anyone wanting to relax & soak up the view!

All about the location
If you're looking for a peaceful spot to unwind, this is it. The house was great, plenty of space for three generations and we had everything we needed. The best thing is being right on the water. Sitting on the deck in good weather and bad was pure peace. A few things are looking a bit tired, particularly the outdoor furniture but it won't dampen your desire to stay longer than you booked! We hope to stay again.

We had an amazing time stayed Saturday and Sunday night. The house was lovely clean very comfortable everything could want and more. The kitchen was stocked with all modern appliances and quality cookware. Bedrooms,living areas and bathrooms are spacious and also very comfy. The deck was awesome so relaxing really didn’t want to come home. Wish we could have stayed a week. Thank you James you were very helpful from the time we booked in. Early entry was great. We would recommend The Deck to everyone if they ask or not. K

Perfect place to unplug with family!
The Deck is a beautiful home on the lake…literally on the lake. My family and I were blown away by the location and lovely home. We spent 4 days fishing, kayaking, cooking, relaxing and taking in the beautiful location. The deck had everything we needed to make our stay super comfortable. Comfy beds, spacious living areas, well equipped kitchen and that beautiful lake view! Highly recommend the Deck, definitely be back!

"Oh the serenity"
Sitting on the deck with a coffee in the morning, fishing from the deck even laying on the comfy lounge, antipasto wine watching the sunset priceless kitchen had everything needed to cook up a storm and they had the best saucepans and being our anniversary the bottle of bubbly on arrival was PERFECT and the owner was very quick to answer any of my questions prior to arrival and also gave us an early checkin which was fabulous will be back there very soon a great weekend had by all so thank you James what a beautiful home .

Weekend staycation
Great property at a lovely serene location. The kitchen and deck were awesome - that's where we spent most of our weekend :) The cleanliness and upkeep could be better. I had actually checked with the host about there being basic condiments, oil etc, and he confirmed there would be. But there was no oil, salt or pepper at the property. Good thing that Coles was nearby (as suggested by the host) but I could have easily brought these things from home. Or, I would have appreciated it more if the host could have organised these things to be provided. Toiletries were a little short too - when we discovered that the 3rd bathroom is actually outside in the laundry (too cold to use!) we brought the soap, shampoo etc. inside from there. Cleanliness could be better - we used the bbq (which was great) but I'm glad I brought my own bbq / oven mats as it was pretty dirty. So, I felt value for money could have been better Nonetheless, it was a great weekend getaway for spending quality time with family :)

Pictures are deceiving. Maintenance is needed. Cleaners need to clean dead cockroaches out of the kitchen draws. Dish cloth and broom not to be found. Not really value for money paid.

Magnificent setting and a feeling of being ‘away’ from the crowd
This house is set ‘on’ the water. The views from the house, especially the kitchen breakfast area, and rear deck are magnificent and the house is well equipped. Beds are comfortable however only 2 of the bathrooms are inside and the outside setting in the entrance area needs attention.

VERY DISAPPOINTING
The glass on the coffee table wasn’t securely set to the base. It was easily slipped off the base with little effort. No one wanted that accident (smashed glass coffee table top). We asked how we need to pay $455 for the damage. No explanation was provided. We feel that it is not fair for us and they are greedy

Peaceful and quiet retreat
The Deck at Chittaway Bay is a wonderful house for a group of people to spend a weekend - or longer. The property was well furnished and everything you need was provided - even some kayaks and life jackets which enabled us to go out on the water. The range of places on the property to sit and enjoy the outdoors was exceptional, as was the range of options - from easy chairs to outdoor dining to cloth sun lounges with blankets and pillows provided. The bedrooms were more than adequate as were the two bathrooms. No negative comments, but guests should be aware that the deck is right on the water and not completely fenced so children would need to be watched. Great location, quiet street, and close to multiple destinations for shopping and eating.

Great Location
The location of this house is great. House is good but cleanliness is surface only and cockroaches inside and out! Food was left in one of the kitchen draws. Unfortunately we only got to spend a couple of days out of the 7 we booked because of the floods, tried to contact the owners before we left and 3 days later have not heard a thing, won’t be going back here!

Everything under one roof
The Deck guarantees a comfortable stay in a house that has everything you need - even BBQ sauce. Great BBQ, canoes, fish off the deck, dine overlooking the river, comfy lounges, bedrooms tidy, big kitchen with cake mixers, toaster, sandwich press, coffee machine which I didn't expect and much much more. Great location, close to shops, and Central Coast attractions. We were welcomed with a nice bottle of bubbly which we enjoyed on our last night. Will be back.
