"The hotel is a seventeenth century building and has a stylish interior. The staff are very helpful and make you feel welcome at the hotel. This is a four star hotel. The room I was in was comfortable and with a very clean bathroom. Food is served most of the day seven days a week and it is very appetising and portions of food are generous. The menus are diverse there is something for every taste. This hotel is close to all the shops, and transport hubs. "

"Lovely stay with my two children. Family room was great, nice and spacious. The pool facilities were ok, however the family swim times had changed from the original email sent by the hotel. There were only a few relaxing beds by the pool which were took up. My girls enjoyed the pool despite this. Nice breakfast in the morning. Lovely lady who greeted us asked about allergies and everything was labelled. About 25 mins drive to get into Chester gir shopping. Relaxing stay and safe for me and my children. Would return."

"Upon arrival there was a queue to check in with no staff at reception. After a short wait I went to find someone. Was told by the bar staff member he would come once he had served at bar. Shower didn't work in room so had to be moved to another. There was running water in this room however more of a drizzle out the shower so impossible to use. Toilet roll holder broken. Very run down and needs a lot of money spending on it. Breakfast in morning wasn't the best either. Me and my husband left it and went and paid for a breakfast elsewhere"

"Stunning property. Staff very welcoming but simply not enough available to cope with the volume of booked guests. This had a knock on effect at dinner and breakfast with choices available, food quality and wait times. Beautiful room booked, well appointed and clean within the eves of the building, but sadly no a/c in this type of property on what was a really warm night and this made for an unlucky nights rest. Low shower water pressure also probably accounted for staying in a high room in a really old building."
