The staff were so friendly, anything we needed they were attentive. We also got our room upgraded for free with its own pool and a 7/11 nearby was such a convenience. The only disappointment was that they were renovating the forth floor so most amenities weren’t available.

The property is beautiful and spotless. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The resort itself is large and convenient, with bars, restaurants, a store, coffee shop, ice cream, and even a club all in one place. The pools are great and the views are stunning, but the beach was a major letdown. We understand it was seaweed season, but there was no visible effort to clean it. We visited Isla Mujeres and the beaches there were gorgeous in comparison. At first, we were given a room on the north side, but the smell was like seaweed and sewage which was unbearable, even inside. We switched to the south side the next day, and it made a huge difference. Also, not all pools are accessible. Those with in-pool bars require a special wristband. Poolside drink service was extremely slow, sometimes taking over 30 minutes. The buffet is basic, and anything made to order like omelets or crepes had long lines. Overall, it’s a beautiful resort, and with some improvements, it could easily be a 10. But based on our full experience, it’s more of a 6

The property I stayed at was the Sunrise location. It seemed a little dated. While the selection of food and the buffet was good, the restaurants seemed a little bland for the price compared to other all inclusive resorts. The mixed drinks were good though. The issues I had were the hard sell of the / timeshare package, the fake resort credits and the confusion on transportation. We traveled with a group of 12 people and they tried to charge us for private transportation knowing that we wanted standard transportation, which is half the cost. Then after that reservation was charged to the main room, mind you, we paid for 5 rooms total, they tried to double charge us for transportation both ways. It was almost like we were held hostage before we could leave. We almost missed our flight trying to fix the error. Second, the store credits. With our rooms we had $500 in resort credits. They could be used for different things but of course what they could be used for was jacked up in price. For instance, a standard spa massage was $300 for 1 hour! I'm sure they aren't paying the staff $50 per hour. At the gift shop, all you could use the credit for was for overpriced subpar cigars or tequila. In the end, I didn't even use the credits. Last, was the timeshare presentation. It was the typical "let me talk to my manager" trick and let me offer one more thing. For the price of this property, you would think they wouldn't use sleazy tactics to sell you overpriced packages.

Beautiful,clean,and friendly staff. So many things for the kids to do. Will definitely be visiting again in the near future
