Stayed here for my week work trip up in the area. It was clean and comfortable and the perfect launch pad for hiking in mornings and evenings. Thanks again!
Lovely, quaint waterfront studio! Beautiful views and great amenities! Loved firepit and kayaking! Our hostess was very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend!
My cousin and got together for a fun girls weekend at this cute little cottage. Beautiful location centrally located near Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire. Host Sherri could not have been more accommodating,
Everything you need to relax inside and outside by the fire pit. We hiked at the nearby state park and used the kayak for a sunset paddle. Host is on the property but gave us complete privacy! We loved the space
It was the perfect place to stay which was about a mile and a half from our daughter's house where we celebrated Christmas. It was very neat , clean and comfortable very cozy. We did not spend a lot of time at the cabin but plan to go back in the summer.
The place was exceptional. Exceptionally neat and organized, ready and interesting. It was quiet, has a large owl in the driveway and is decked out in gardens and well trimmed grass. I recommend this place whole heartedly.
The place is tucked back in the woods along the lake. It was very quiet. Sheri had everything laid out nicely and had tons of helpful note around the place.
The amenities, the communication, the especially crisp and clean place. We couldn't ask for more! And if we did need to ask for more, Sheri had it covered. I would love to stay here again and enjoy more lake time on the kayaks. What we really appreciated was the welcoming atmosphere (chocolates & sparkling water) and the wonderful coffee/creamer selection. And if you forgot the bug spray, it's all there for you. Enjoy, as much as we did!
Needed a getaway for the two of us and this fit the bill well. Cabin is very well kept and host is very detail oriented with instructions, signage, and cleanliness. Weather didn’t cooperate the way we hoped but thankfully there’s good food and other attractions in the area.
New construction of an old shed, decor inspired by the hostess. The amenities were perfect for our party of 3. Loved the lake toys and outdoor patio furniture. Interior had everything we needed. I’d stay again and I will encourage others to stay as well.
What a cute little place to come and de-stress and enjoy the beautiful views. The cabin has everything to make yoir stay perfect and the hideway bed was very comfortable. Sheri is a wonderful host and very accommodating and quick to respond for anything we needed. The views of the lake are also wonderful, and we were able to enjoy the patio on a beautiful weekend in March 😁
Looking forward to coming back and being able to enjoy the dock and water. If your looking for a clean, cute place to soak in the beauty of Lake Wissota, this is a perfect place!!
Absolutely perfect. Exactly as described. Convenient location. Kayaking was gorgeous (we went to the right and then the right again under the bridge and so beautiful) Sheri was a fantastic host. Excellent communication. Nice touches in the rental. Would definitely recommend and go back.
Adorable little cabin/house! Super clean and comfy. VRBO does say 2 "bedrooms" but obviously the photos show it's all one room with two bed possibilities. Slightly confusing. Sheri was great. Very gracious and warm. Helpful and sweet. Loved the stay.
This property is top notch. All of the little details are thought of for you. The bed is VERY comfortable and super easy to pull down and store every day. It's peaceful and tranquil with just a short drive to the nearest town. This was my partner's and my first trip together and we agree that Chippewa will forever hold a special place in our hearts and in our love story. We will most definetly be back.
My wife and I enjoyed a long-overdue three-day weekend getaway to the Eau Claire area. We taste-tested some beer at The Brewing Projekt (always fantastic!), ate dinner at The Informalist (delicous!), and hiked at Lake Wissota State Park. The cabin itself was cozy and comfortable! We very much appreciated the unobstructed lake views, which featured ample wildlife. The weather was warm enough on the second evening for us to build a campfire at sunset where we boiled some glühwein to usher in a new season. Would definitely visit again!
Sherry was a great hostess and the Lone Birch cabin was very peaceful and quiet, which was welcome after a day at a loud music festival. The cabin was cozy and it was fun to go out on the lake with the tandem kayak. We must not of read the description closely and came with food to prepare several meals. We were able to pivot and use the fire pit or microwave for cooking instead. It was wonderful to wake up to a chorus of birds or sit next to the fire in the evening and watch the sun set in the distance. Highly recommended!
The cabin was very clean...probably the cleanest we've ever stayed in, so thank you for that! The leather recliner was the most comfortable chair and had a beautiful view of the lake. This was the first time we've slept in a murphy bed and will probably be the last...that was not the most comfortable. We were also disappointed the fire pit area was not more private. We did enjoy sitting/standing on the dock...too bad there wasn't a bench or some chairs down there, but the view was breathtaking especially at sunset. The helpful information signs around the cabin were great. One thing I would add to the list of reminders for when guests leave is to log out of any channels on the TV such as YouTube TV, Prime or Netflix.
