5-star rooms at a great rate, clean, and friendly.

We had a wonderful stay. We were in town to visit family. Captain Mike was a great host, extremely accommodating, helped us check in late, had breakfast made every morning and went above and beyond to provide food we liked (even milk for our baby). He liked to talk a lot and normally I would have loved to speak more but I had a lot of family things to attend to so I didn't have the opportunity to relax and have a coffee and talk. He left us water in our frig, yogurt for the baby and was always ready to please. The location was absolutely beautiful, the rooms were 5 star rooms with a view. It was extremely clean there and the bed was comfortable. He even provided a portable baby crib for our room via my request online. There was parking under the hotel in the parking garage with an elevator which was helpful. He provided us with a packet of places to visit in Chios which was great to have. Thank you Captain Mike for a great time!

The hotel is very clean, beautiful with spectacular view of the Aegean Sea. The staff was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Even though I missed breakfast hours, they served me whatever I way after they cleaned up. I highly recommend this place

Friendly, accommodating, and beautiful

The owner and staff were warm and friendly. We received a room that exceeded our expectations. There was a delicious continental breakfast including eggs prepared to our individual preferences, amazing local yogurt and honey, and pastries and breads. The hotel itself is gorgeous! Everything was neat and clean. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We were there before the main season so did not get a chance to try the on-site restaurant. However, if it is managed like the rest of the hotel, we have no doubt that it would be delightful. The hotel is located on a hill with a view of Kardamyla, the hometown of my father. We were there to locate my father's childhood home and the owner and staff were eager to help us. All in all, we highly recommend this hotel and hope to return within the next few years.

Heaven on Earth!

We loved our stay at Ai Yiannis. The staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. I was looking for family roots and the hotel helped me make contacts to find everything I was looking for. Manoli in reservations was wonderful. I was emailing him frequently before our stay and he always patiently answered every question. The owner Michalis was warm and gracious. He cooked us a wonderful meal, which was the best meal we had our entire stay in Greece. The setting was lovely and the rooms spacious and clean. We highly recommend Ai Yiannis! We can't wait to go back!!

Wonderful, friendly hotel near the beach and town

The owner is very informative about the area and the staff extremely solicitous. Food lovely and well presented. We enjoyed the location, gorgeous sea view, local life and beaches. A MUST if visiting Chios and only 40 mins drive up the coast from either the port or airport.

Amazing experience, highly recommended

I spent four wonderful days with my family in Chios. Our stay at the Ai Yiannis was extraordinary. We were hesitant at first in staying in the town Kardamella because of the distance from the chora, however when we arrived we were astounded with the beauty of our surroundings. The view of the ocean and the mountains were breathtaking. The hotel is brand new, clean, tastefully decorated and the staff is accommodating. We were welcomed and greeted by Mr. Michali and his staff at the entrance of the hotel with trays of coffees and goodies. Their staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and worry free. Anna, the receptionist, always greeted us with a pleasant smile provided us with useful information about the island, and was always there to answer any questions. In the morning, a plentiful breakfast of fruits, baked goods, cheeses, cold cuts, cheese pies and much more was waiting for us. It was hard to say goodbye. I can't wait for my next trip to Chios.
