"No hot water for 10 minutes. Then it only got warm, and lasted about 5 minutes during a shower. When I mentioned it to the front desk, they said, "Oh, is it doing that again?""

"We loved our stay at the Waterside Inn! Granted, we came in the off season but it was so peaceful, quiet, and probably the best sleep I have had in a long time. The rooms are spacious and clean with character - I like a modern hotel but they can get a little stale and boring. It felt a little more like home here. The breakfast was delish and the gal serving was so sweet and personable. We walked out on to the pier outside of the hotel for a nice sunset. We would definitely stay here again. "

"We had a wonderful stay at the Refuge Inn. I only have good things to say! The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was nice and accommodating. Breakfast was good. Location is great. There were so many little touches that stood out to us, and these things separated the Refuge Inn from other hotels. I highly recommend the Refuge Inn. "

"Room was fairly clean and beds were comfortable. No evidence of bedbugs. Location is good for food and activities. Generally old and rundown. Needs restoration. Not handicapped friendly. No grab bars, no rails up step to room. Says pet friendly but charges even for service dog. Staff not friendly. No marijuana allowed on premises even if you have medical card. "

"Staff were all very welcoming and helpful, and were able to give great information about the island. Located at the entrance to the national Wildlife Refuge, and next to the museum. "

"This hotel was awesome and had great service! We booked a room with 2 double beds and a pullout sofa through Expedia but our room did not have the sofa. The hotel was grear enough to bring a rollout bed to accommodate the error in the Expedia reservation! When we booked through Expedia the confirmation email did not include the sofa, although that is what we reserved."

"Perfect spot to enjoy the Island and all its glory. Kids enjoyed the indoor pool and the view was perfect from the balcony. Clean and accommodating. My second stay here and would plan on it again. "
