"We had an amazing, peaceful, and private stay—just what we wanted! The location was great and very close to everything decorah has to offer! The fall colors were beautiful and definitely showing off for us. We ended up using the air mattress to sleep on and that worked out really well for us as the back of the futon wasn’t very comfortable, but great for sitting! We were never able to find the trails that led down to the bottom of the Quarry, but that’s ok. We didn’t need to talk to the owners much but when we did they were very responsive! My only recommendation for improvement would be to have the portapoty cleaned out — it’s in desperate need, but we were camping at the end of the day and it didn’t ruin our tip. Overall we would definitely come back. It was the perfect weekend. "

"Wonderful Family-Friendly Stay with Fun AmenitiesWe had a great time staying here! The home offers plenty of entertainment options for kids, including a ping pong table and a cozy theater room that kept everyone happy and engaged. One of the standout experiences was the buggy ride—such a fun and memorable adventure!While the home was generally comfortable, we did notice that some areas, like the window sills, could use a bit more attention when it comes to cleaning. We also hiked to the pond, but found it wasn’t quite worth the trek this time of year. The water was green and surrounded by tall grass, making it less inviting than expected.Despite those minor issues, we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again. It’s a great spot for families looking to relax and have fun together!"

"A perfect place, centrally located, and lots to do in the Decorah area. The house had everything we needed, and it was very clean and comfortable. The hosts, Amy and Jackson, were very responsive, and check-in was effortless. I highly recommend this property. If you are adventurous, you can drive up to “Pikes Peak” State Park in McGregor, Iowa, with its breathtaking views of the Mississippi River. Or drive over to La Crosse, Wisconsin, for a paddle Boat ride on the Mississippi. There’s plenty to do in town, with a great variety of restaurants and shopping options.We are looking forward to returning in April. "
