About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Ridgetop cabin featuring spa, sun room, fireplace and deck with panoramic views.

Welcome to our cozy cabin in the Hocking Hills, a secluded retreat on a 42-acre ridgetop. This is one of the best-stocked cabins you'll ever see, and we take pride in providing a clean, comfortable, and peaceful environment for our guests.

The cabin is perfect for couples, families, or groups of up to 6 guests, with bed space for 5 an auxiliary air mattress, and a comfortable sleeper sofa.

The big-screen Roku smart TV has YouTube TV available, and you can also log in to your own streaming services.

The real highlight of our cabin is the incredible spa, designed for up to 6 guests and with a top-of-the-line filtration system. You can soak in the spa while surrounded by the fantastic forest backdrop during the day or enjoy some of the best stargazing in Ohio on a clear night.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can explore the 42-acre property on your own. There are a few old logging roads that are great for hiking, but keep in mind that they aren't currently maintained, so some bushwacking may be needed. Long pants are highly recommended. While there is one other cabin (listing #1781220) within eyeshot on the property, it is 500+ feet away, so you're about as secluded as it gets!

Although the cabin is secluded, it's less than 25 minutes from Hocking Hills State Park, which offers a range of outdoor activities for visitors. Tar Hollow is also nearby and has a public swimming lake.

The internet is completely free of charge and is a high-speed low latency Starlink connection, making it easy to stream video or do video calling.

We keep our base rate on the low end and charge additional guest fees based on the number in your group. There are no guest fees for the first two guests. Please be honest about the number in your group, as we reserve the right to retain the damage deposit if we find that more beds and/or towels were used than the number of guests specified.

We also highly recommend that you purchase your own travel insurance in case of the need to cancel due to a positive COVID-19 case in your group.

The last mile of the road is gravel, but it's worth it! Standard sedans are usually fine as long as you drive slowly and strategically. Sporty low-clearance vehicles should be avoided. All-wheel drive is recommended in the winter months in case there is snow on the ground.

Hunting is only allowed if both cabins on the property are rented at the same time (#1713482 and #1781220). A $250/day fee applies.

Finally, please take note that we are not responsible for items left behind. Any items that are requested to be mailed back will cost a $100 fee plus the cost of shipping.

We look forward to having you stay with us and hope you enjoy your time in the Hocking Hills!

Great little cottage!
This was our 1st trip to Hocking Hills! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and loved our cabin! It had everything we needed and communication with the host was excellent! We especially loved the hot tub after long days of hiking! The big screen tv with all the channel options was nice too, along with excellent wifi! The only downside for us was the location. We didnt realize how far away we were from the trails, stores, restaurants, etc. We spent alot of time driving!! So just keep this in mind when you're booking! (Plus, the roads in this immediate area are terrible, which adds to the driving time)

Birthday getaway
We had a great stay at the cabin. We left late due to a storm at home and losing power so we didn’t check in until around 11:30 pm. I wanted to visit this area again I love the beauty of this area . Driving to the cabin the road on their directions is a bit bumpy and a narrow road at a few points with a bit of a drop off but as long as you drive slow and follow the directions they give you you’ll be fine . ( I drive a ford escape ) You can also take Sams Cook road and follow the gps and arrive safe. The property was my favorite part of this cabin . There is a lot of land, trees and peace and quiet except for one night when a Whip Por Will decided to sing. I sat outside on my birthday and had a day fire and just sat outside and played cornhole with my husband . It was so peaceful , I saw around 10 different kinds of butterflies floating around their property. Wild flowers on their ridge must bring them in. You have a beautiful view of the stars at night with the trees surrounding you . The hot tub was nice and clean, however whatever they use to clean it was very strong and made my eyes hurt a bit so we left the jets off so the fumes didn’t hang in the air. The bed was decent and there are a ton of pillows. There are no closets or dressers for clothes but no biggie for us since we used the spare room to throw our luggage on. Great selection of movies and a few classic games to play . Communication between the owner was great . I would recommend this property👍

Wonderful Time
We had a great time! This was the second time we stayed on this property. It was clean and had everything that we could want. It is a beautiful place and we got to see a flock of wild turkeys in the yard. Fantastic 😍. I am referring anyone I know to look into this cabin Also I want to thank Greg for checking in on us during a terrible storm ! Thanks for everything!

Just as described, except its more like a regular house than a cabin! Make sure to follow the driving directions that the host sends you, as GPS can get you lost or stuck. Very secluded and peaceful property!

Perfect for a couple with pets
Thoroughly enjoyed our week stay in this cabin! Very secluded with plenty if space to get out and enjoy the property. Far enough out to be quite and enjoy the country side and the hills but close enough to go out to eat or find other things to do on a rainy day. The cabin was well kept and cute. Perfect for my husband and our 2 dogs. The hot tub was very clean and wonderful views of the stars at night. We would definitely stay again. While we didn't have any issues getting to the property ( we followed the directions they gave to be safe and they matched with our gps), my aunt who came to visit us was not so fortunate haha. So definitely follow the directions the give you but we had no issues with the roads getting in and out.

Exactly As Advertised
This was a great little relaxing vacation for us. Everything was exactly what we needed and as advertised in the listing. The place is very secluded and silent. The kitchen has all the essentials. The indoor gas fire place is very practical and outdoor one is great to sit around and enjoy a real fire. The hottub is perfect; clean and we specifically loved that it was not covered so we could watch the stars. Internet worked well and the TV had all the streaming services to keep us entertained. We also very much enjoyed the bright sun room as well as the beautiful deck facing the sun. Will definitely be back!

Perfect Valentines Day Getaway
We had the best time staying in this cabin! It was the perfect getaway and just what my boyfriend and I needed to recharge. I especially loved watching the sun rise through the trees from the hot tub every morning! The owners were amazing with communication and even let us check in early when we asked. Also, the cabin was extremely well stocked with everything we could need (paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, etc.) we really appreciated having all that there. The other reviews were accurate in saying you can definitely see the other cabin but I feel like in spring/summer the trees would be grown in enough where you couldn’t see it. Random tip- if you’re planning on doing laundry, the whole cabin will shake when the spin cycle is on. I turned it on early one morning while my boyfriend was sleeping and it was enough to wake him up. We had the best time staying here and would highly recommend to anyone else!
