"It is nice hotel with a good well laid out restaurant with good views and decent breakfast. Good sized parking lot, walking distance about 1km from downtown Sta Elena. The rooms we had were nice and clean, bed was comfortable with just screen doors with glass doors open and we slept nice and cool with sounds of the cloud forest. we highly recommend this hotel."

"Really cannot say enough about this bed and breakfast. We were there for only one night but wish we would have stayed here a few days. The staff were very friendly and helpful, great with our kids. The room was very nice with lots of space for everyone. The mattresses so comfortable. Breakfast was great. Will be coming back here in the future for more days."

"Beautiful, serene, and peaceful location with clean and spacious rooms. Friendly and responsive staff. Daily breakfast was fantastic! Only downside was a bit of a musty smell in our room but that is to be expected in such humid environment. Overall, magical stay!"

"stayed in the sunrise room: really exceptional. It is a wonderful hotel, but overall, falling too much in love as to how fancy it is. Case in point: the Celajes Restaurant. Gorgeous sunset views. Wonderful starter. Then came the 40$ filet. Worst filet I ever had. It was chewy, rather than melting in your mouth as it should. Told the waiter ( more politely), who brought the chef. Rather than receiving an apology, I got a lecture and was made to pay the entire bill. Perhaps I was too polite? Anyways, can‘t fully recommend it at that price. Get of your horse, Hotel Belmar! It is a shame, because all the employees are trying so hard. Ah, also, the sunrise room is truly fantastic. But it creaks and rumbles when the wind is blowing outside. I didn’t mind, but some may find that disconcerting."

Wake Up with Birds in Monteverde - Forest Balcony & Walk to Reserves

"This place is ideal for nature lovers, which is after all what you come to Costa Rica for. Surrounded by trees, on the top floor you get a direct view of multiple different birds, butterflies and a group of capuchin monkeys. We saw them daily, quite close to the windows of the back bedroom, which is like a viewing gallery! You can see the sunset from the balcony. Venture into the gardens for more birds and butterflies (multiple morphos) and we even saw an agouti. We saw more wildlife from the apartment than at the hanging bridges! It feels safe and the 3 apartment block is behind a large gate privately accessed by code and key. Just make sure you have the right ones. They had changed from the check in info given but luckily Jorge answered our query straight away. It has dedicated parking, there are three sets of stairs up to the apartment. Stella’s cafe has great food and is a 2 min walk. It’s virtually opposite Curi Cancha reserve and a few mins walk to the Bat jungle. You need a car to get into Monteverde town but there is parking near many restaurants. The shower is great and the apartment is thoughtfully set up. I highly recommend this wonderful apartment if you want to feel immersed in nature."
