"Alloggio della Posta Vecchia has a lot of charm, but it comes with a few challenges. The townhouse itself is lovely and well decorated, and our room was beautiful—full of character and very inviting. The web photos are just as it really looks. The surrounding area is lively, with plenty of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. However, getting there was tricky. The streets are narrow and the area busy, making it hard to find. Our host directed us, but the language barrier meant we didn’t fully understand the instructions. Also, be prepared for lots of stairs and uphill walking, so this is not a good choice for anyone with mobility issues. In short: gorgeous and atmospheric, but best for agile travelers who don’t mind a bit of a search to find it."

"Our host was wonderful! Breakfast was HUGE and he packed us lunch both days as a take out which we appreciated. It was very hard to identify the building and parking was difficult to find close by so we drove around a bit before finding where we were to be. Location was excellent once we got settled."

"This was a beautiful hotel with gorgeous landscaping and outdoor seating areas. Breakfast was delicious. The dining patio, looking out at the lit up temple was magic. The pool was lovely although chilly and the rooms had every amenity, even a Dyson hair dryer. We wish we had had an extra day to enjoy the hotel."

"Clean room, host quickly met us with only 10 minutes notice. Host very nice. There are no staff on hand. Nice room, interesting parking situation - we got lucky with a spot near the entrance. Could use some tissues for the room and hair conditioner for the shower. Could hear others in nearby rooms. Breakfast was good, but if you don’t speak Italian, some of the staff didn’t have time for you. For the price and what we needed for one night, it was fine. "

"The reception was helpful and very attentive. The room was large and nice. However, breakfast was so unpleasant. The room was overcrowded, there was one guy trying to clean the tables and help. Obviously he was overwhelmed. To be honest, it felt like a zoo. We couldn’t find a table to sit. No spoons. The entire experience was traumatic. If you have that amount of people reaching breakfast at the same time, you should have 5 waiters attending. It wasn’t a relaxed nice breakfast."

"Fabio and Alessandro make the experience amazing. They are super helpful and make sure that everything is perfect. The breakfast in the morning is hand-picked by them and it is a perfect and authentic Italian breakfast experience. The property itself is nice and well located to access the Main Street where bars, restaurants and shopping are The only negative was that you can’t park close to the hotel as it is located on some smaller streets. That said, Fabio found us a free parking spot and met us there and helped as carry our bags…this is the personal touch they provide I would highly recommend as a place to stay for a night or two in Agrigento!"
