The location was easy to access great walking distance from downtown and the room was well equiped, clean and taken care of with amenities perfect for someone wanting to experience Chico as if living there.
Love the location, great bed, nice shower pressure, can be a bit loud on weekends, but you’re right by Chico State, great energy as far as I’m concerned.
Easy check in and check out. The property was clean and had plenty of space for me and my friend. It gets a bit loud in the mornings sleeping next to the street but overall a nice place to stay.
We loved staying at this historic property in downtown Chico. It is comfortable and cozy, with lots of character. We will definitely try to stay here again!
Super location. Block from the University and a block from downtown. It doesn't get any better than that! Super comfy and clean with all the amenities one would need. We have found our go to spot in Chico! Thanks Anthony and Ava
My wife, 13 year old, and I stayed for a baseball weekend. The place was really great, decorated nice and really clean. Location was ideal to walk around Chico. Highly recommend!
We went with our daughter to tour CSU Chico. The location of the apartment was perfect! 1 block from school and 1 block from great restaurants! Once we arrived we walked everywhere - so close to everything! The apartment was very comfortable too! Super comfy queen bed. We will be back if our daughter decides on Chico!
Great location! Everything downtown Chico has to offer - shops, restaurants, bars, farmers market - all within 3-4 blocks walking distance. Felt very safe in this neighborhood too. The accommodations were fantastic! Excellent A/C & fans (107 degrees the weekend we stayed!), great kitchen with all the supplies needed, Starbucks pod coffee & it was VERY CLEAN! Comfy & very homey feeling. Thoroughly enjoyed it, would definitely stay here again!
A very cute, well decorated and furnished apartment. My wife and I stayed for 2 days visiting Chico and were able to walk to shops and restaurants in town. On site parking was convenient, and this place made our visit very comfortable. Will stay again the next time we come to Chico!
This property lived up to its pictures. It is laid out with an excellent use of space. The bed was very comfortable and my kids loved the pull out sofa. The two air units kept it perfectly cool on a hot Chico day. My favorite part is the 5-minutes walking distance to downtown. We’ll definitely be back.
very charming apt. Love the decor. Such a great job restoring this beautiful house. Lots of room. Extra star for having a super comfortable bed. Very close to downtown shops and restaurants as well as campus. Highly recommend.
Thanks for the stay. We found the apartment well-maintained, clean, and conveniently located. My wife and I would definitely like to be a repeat customer.
Thanks,
Josh and Christy
My husband and I met in Chico 30 years ago when we were students at Chico State. I remember the way the trees lining the streets light up in yellow, gold and red fall colors. Our stay was in a beautiful location, very clean and well furnished, and the kitchen was stocked with extras like foil, spices and a full size refrigerator. We really liked the down duvet, lots of hot water, free wifi and decor. We enjoyed the offered fresh brewed coffee, everyday!
So much to love! We loved our vacation!!

Has potential
Place was apparently very mistreated by previous visitors so we want to be fair. There aren’t any windows that open in the whole apartment, which meant we couldn’t get rid of the nasty cigarette smell. Owner offered us a discount for all our trouble but we haven’t seen or heard from him since. Bed and covers were very comfortable, but when we tried to use the heater, it would blow a fuse. The shower was very slippery—they need to put non-stick mat on the floor of the shower. Place is cute and the location is great. Need to make a few minor upgrades
My son was visiting Chico State, and this property was perfect for our visit.
Beautifully decorated and well laid out! The main living room doubled nicely for my son as a bedroom with a pullout couch and a pocket door from the main bedroom for privacy.
The master has an entire second living room, spacious closet for luggage and continues the light, bright decor from the other areas of the home.
Throughout the entire apartment were tons of small details to make it feel like home: ample shelving for bathroom toiletries, power strips to charge electronics, well stocked kitchen, etc.
The location was an easy walk to downtown restaurants as well as to the school for our visit. There are areas of residential/pay to park - but also could easily find free parking within a block of the home our whole trip.
We will certainly stay again if our son chooses to attend Chico State.
I would have given 5 stars except for the location. The rooms are beautifully decorated, & everything you need for a comfortable stay is included. There was an issue with the main heat & since we were staying in January, we needed heat. The owners had several space heaters which more than did the job, but I would suggest if the main heat isn't repaired soon that the instructions include the use of the space heaters. You can only plug one in in each living space otherwise you will trip a breaker & the entire space is without electricity. We arrived in the evening so it was dark & cold. We had to contact the owners for help after plugging in the heaters to heat up the place. They were very quick to respond & had someone over within half an hour to fix the problem. All of this could have been avoided with a quick text before check in to give us a heads up. The only other issue we had was the noise. It was a ironic that the rules for the property stress the importance of us being quiet, yet because of the location, there is a lot of street noise until midnight every night, weekends even later. This property is really close to the college so there are a lot of noisy college students walking right past the windows that are right behind the bed & noisy cars playing loud music. If you wear earplugs to bed like my husband does, you'll probably be fine. I don't, so it wasn't fine for me. However, the location does make it very convenient to walk into downtown for a meal or shopping.
