The room was very small even though I booked for a double room, the walls were dirty. Apparently there are sound proof rooms but the hotel was extremely loud the cleaners are banging and slamming doors from quite early on. The area is not the best there are prositutes directly opposite and a flock of shops where men stand outside, so quite intimidating if you’re a solo female traveller. Took a £200 deposit, entered the room and the kettle was broken and it wasn’t the cleanest place.
At check out I wanted to make sure my deposit was returned in full and was told this wasn’t possible and no one could check the room, I asked for the manager and she came over was very polite and helpful and went on and checked the room and released my deposit.

This is an older hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and quiet. We found out after our first day that the breakfast buffet was included in our stay - that was a nice surprise. We made good use of it for the next two days. Enjoyed a lovely stay at the Petit Saint Bernard. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious (especially the pastries and brioche!!). And the accessibility was unmatched. Highly recommend if staying in Bourg Saint Maurice!
