The place were so comfortable and could feeltjey love the place, we fall in love woth the place too, lovely place, food and view. If i get a chance to travel CHC or Omarama, want to be stay there again.

The views from this property are stunning .We loved are stay at Ribbonwood Country House . The rooms are styled beautifully and are luxurious . But it was the hosts that made our stay so enjoyable. Gary and Robert have the knack of being both professional and great fun . Very enjoyable and would highly recommend.

Simply wonderful … and a must visit!

Our stay at Robbinwood CH could not have been bettered. Along with the excellent rooms, facilities, cleanliness Robert and Gary are really great hosts. Of course this review would not b complete without mentioning the fantastic views from their property … unfortunately the picture I took below doesn’t do it justice! Honestly what with all the above and the fabulous ambience that Robert and Gary have created around the property with their love of animals and gardening my wife Angela and I can’t wait to stay again …. Truly a magical place!

We highly recommend staying at this hidden jewel. Amazing property and hosts with everything beautifully done from quality sheets to continental breakfast with delicious homemade jams. The million dollar views from the breakfast table are the cherry on top.

Ribbonwood was welcoming and confortable, with most hospitable hosts. Gary's dinner was superb, and it was a treat to be shown the flourishing garden which had produced the delicious vegetables. Very comfortable bed. The only disappointment was the clouds which obscured the views. We may need to go back!

Charming Lodge with Panoramic Mountain Views

Located a few km west of SH1 Ribbonwood Country House is a well appointed, well thought-out purpose built lodge - offering superb views north to Kaikoura's. The rooms are spacious and well equiped and individually themed around NZ natives. The lounge area is welcoming and comfortable, as are the hosts Robert & Gary who are skilled and passionate to ensure that each stay is perfect and memorable. Thanks again for a wonderful break. P&N

Most Lovely stay at Ribbonwood

We thoroughly enjoyed our too short of time at Ribbonwood Country House! The room was clean, very comfortable, the view spectacular, the food was delicious, and Robert was very helpful and made us feel right at home, Gary got up early to fix us the best breakfast before we headed out! The only negative to the whole experience was that we were not there long enough to relax and enjoy all that Ribbonwood has to offer!

Wonderful stay

Gary and Robert were wonderful, incredibly welcoming hosts. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need (the biscotti was delicious!). Then there’s the view which is just breathtaking. Would highly recommend staying here!

An Exceptional property that is best described as an upmarket B&B but completely private suite in a beautiful property in a delightful rural landscape with magnificent hosts providing the highest level service and taste treasures like fresh milk and butter from their own cows, home made preserves. Comfort In Cheviot

We were met by Robert a very welcoming who made you feel at home as soon as he said hello. We were taken to our tastefully decorated room which was generous in size with quality beds. We were given free range over more than half of their home which had a great position on a hill overlooking their farm with the snowy ranges in the distance. Waking up refreshed we were treated to a magnificent spread for breakfast including a cooked meal from Gary a professional chef and warm host. Before leaving we were given a tour of their producing gardens and an introduction to there dogs and quick view of the other animals and farm.Thank you Gary and Robert for your hospitality and we have no problem recommending Ribbonwood Country House for a relaxing stay from Andrew and Julie.

Avoid! Rude staff.

Hotels.com made an error allowing us to book with our toddler (the hotel does not accept children), so our booking was cancelled and we were left stranded with no vacancies within 45 minutes (not ideal when pregnant and with a toddler). Our experience with the hotel staff was awful and unjust. Knowing they would not fill our room at such short notice (we booked on the same day), they decided to keep our money as they ‘couldn’t fill the room because it wasn’t cancelled properly’. I understand it was not their error, but any fair human would see that in the overall picture, they provided no service to us and didn’t deserve to keep our money, and would not have filled the room at such short notice. Business before morals and compassion is not somewhere I would choose to stay.

Wunderschön gelegenes B&B mit super herzlichem Empfang durch den Gastgeber. Durch seine jahrelange Hotelerie-Erfahrung fühlt man sich im Ribbonwood Country House sofort wie zu Hause. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen und die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und modern eingerichtet. Auf Wunsch bekamen wir das Frühstück bereits um 6 Uhr morgens.
