Do not stay here until you confirm you’re getting a room without a squeaky box spring!!
The biggest issue with our stay was the beds. The box springs were unbelievably creaky. We had two people in each bed, and literally every time someone moved, the noise woke everyone else up. Needless to say, we had a terrible night’s sleep.
What makes this particularly frustrating is that when we complained, we were told that the hotel had already received lots of complaints about the box springs. They offered us a $50 discount, which is something, I guess, but it left me wondering: if you already know the box springs are a problem, why are you continuing to put guests in rooms with them?
I can forgive a lot of things at a hotel. A minor maintenance issue, dated décor, or something that isn't quite perfect — that's life. But a hotel’s most basic job is to provide a place where guests can actually sleep, especially when the problem is known and has such an obvious fix.
My advice: if you’re considering staying here, confirm before you check in that your room does NOT have one of these creaky box springs. Otherwise, you are in for a very long night.
