We enjoyed our stay & would consider staying again in the future. The property was clean & full of character, & also an easy walk to all the shopping & dining in downtown Waynesville. Only critiques are that the toilet flush was very loud, & it would be nice if the property had a washer & dryer & functioning ice machine.

Lovely in many ways, but...
The location near Main St. in Waynesville made for easy walking access to things. Unfortunately, someone had cranked the thermostats to max so most of the house was a sauna and never really cooled down. Thankfully our room was comfortable and fairly clean. The house didn't seem to be set up for guests and finding the makings for coffee was an adventure. If staying in Waynesville again, we'll be looking for a different place.
My room (The Henry) had a beautiful view of the mountains.
Positives: The room was spacious with a comfy bed, my view was fantastic, the garden area was lovely to lounge in. The parlor was nice, loved just relaxing in the space and breathing it all in. Check in was a breeze. The property is within walking distance to main street and lots of lovely shops, and walmart is only a few minutes drive for essentials.
Negatives: Sharing thermostat with everyone on the same floor means you may wake up sweating (as I did) or freezing if others adjust the temp to their liking after you go to bed. I loved the clawfoot tub, but it's a high step into it, and I almost slipped because the carpet wasn't non skid and there was no handhold to get in or out. Also, antique pull chain toilet was SO loud, I was afraid I was disturbing the person next door when I flushed it.
In all, just a few minor blips on an otherwise picture perfect stay. Great check in experience, great stay, great town. Thanks for the lovely stay!
This is an amazing place!! Location is wonderful and convenient. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Check in was easy. We are definitely looking forward to coming back!

Close walk to downtown
Great location- just a couple blocks to downtown. Having no television was a negative. Security could be an issue as people staying in other bedrooms can show up at any time without warning. Great place if you had several bedrooms rented with family there.
A terrific hideaway/ not too close and not too far.
A stone’s throw from the best of downtown Waynesville, but lots of privacy too.
Spotless bathroom!
Clean, crisp, fresh bed.
Just what you need
My room had not been turned when I got there around 4:30. I text and called owner and heard back 45 minutes later. They did give me another room that by then I could not take a shower for dinner. Icemaker wasn’t working at all. I probably would not have sent this if I had at least got an apology.
Nice room. No TV so if that's important to you, stay somewhere else. My room had a clawfoot tub (with shower). If you are elderly or not able to step up into it (it's high) ask for another room that has a walk in shower. No breakfast and while there are many restaurants just a short walk away, they don't open until later in the day. This is a beautiful home with a nice front porch to relax on. Free coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the .ain kitchen. The owners are LOVELY people and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.
Great place to stay near the center of town activities. Will be coming back !!!
Excellent bargain

It was a lovely stay! Very wakable distance to downtown. It was an absolute delight to walk in to downtown to grab coffee in the morning. The inn was very clean and comfortable, and well worth the price. I very much enjoyed my stay, and would recommend to anyone.
This is an older property but very well kept and spotless. It is within walking distance to all the shops and eateries. The check in and check out process was so easy. Would definitely stay again.

The owner was quick to respond to every question I had. We never heard our neighbors. The room was clean and perfect.
We had a lovely visit to Herren House while celebrating a friend's ordination at nearby Lake Junaluska. The property was clean, quiet, and very comfortable, with lots of welcoming communal spaces. We walked the short two blocks up the street for dinner in the evening, and spent time sipping coffee on the front porch in the morning. Our room was comfortable and well appointed, and we enjoyed our visit. Will definitely be back again soon!
Thoroughly enjoyed the Henry room and everythig about the Herren House. Well-appointed and very comfortable roomd, sparkling clean. Only 2 blocks from downtown and felt safe and secure with the great security and access system in place for room and house doors. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Well maintained historic home. Well ventilated and very clean.
Minimal amenities. No functional kitchen. Microwave and sink with running water. No utensils or cups other than a Keurig machine for coffee and tea bags and paper cups.
Owner was always available right away when we had questions. We loved our stay in the Mary Lu room. The room was super clean. The sheets were soft and the towels smelled so good! Short walking distance to shops and restaurants. Great water pressure.
Would definitely stay here again.
