If you think this is part of MGM group, it is NOT. It is a local MGM group that has taken the global brand and monetizing on it. The property by itself is not really bad. But they rate themselves as MGM global brand and charge premium like a 5 star Hotels and that is where the problem is. If they charge 1000 - 2000 rupees, $20 - $50 per night, it is not bad. But anything more than $100 per night is too much for this place. I actually wanted to cancel my second night. But the hotel did not allow that. They tried to upgrade and provided a few freebies. But in spite of all these, I would never stay there again.

Worst stay at MGM
It was worst stay room smells badly Room cleanness was not good Room was like godown We booked 5 room all was very small 204 205 305 307 304 was the room no Don’t take these room number in this resort Battery car shuttle came only at check out time rest of the time they didn’t come . After requesting many time also they didn’t come very bad Experinace with my family .

Had trouble getting room on time, as the front office was allowing the rooms to be given to us, to be occupied by guests who should have checked out by noon. Got room after 5 hours of waiting. That too after literally shouting at the reception. They should be advised to follow rules. A lot of power cuts, so the ac would go on and off all the time.It would not switch on automatically. Rooms have no hanging space to dry sweaty or wet clothes. Should provide some rods and hooks.

Very good stay other then the fact that for same price one room is double the size then other . They should give much lower price for smaller room which was extremely cramped. Otherwise beautiful location on the ocean and very good service.

We stayed at the club suite close to the beach. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and service was excellent. The beach was also clean. My only suggestion is to have some security guards at the beach.

Nice property near beach
The property is big and nice, we had 2 rooms out of which one constantly had one or the other problem with AC or TV. But yes that was attended but could be checked before the guests come. It was a very pleasurable experience otherwise.

Good location. Rooms are not pathetic.
staffs are very cooperative. Rooms are below average with horrible old plug points filled with broken pens and pencils since people tried using the plug points but would have failed terribly.

pathetic this time
every year we are being a guest to this hotel. We will do phone booking every time. this time only we have done through you. i don't understand if online booking will get this kind of service. room was not worth for 7000+ . The toilet was pathetic. no bath tub ,no seperate room for bathing.atleast separate glass partition will be there ,that is also not there. when we enquired in the reception they told us they have a bath tub in 6000+ room and not in this room. The services provided in the lesser room not even 50% is there in this room. totally dissatisfied.We have given a written complaint in the hotel. they are dealing with this. otherwise every year the service is too good. we will be there for two days every year. this time due to time constraint we could make only one day.so we didn't want to create a scene.

Amazing..
One of the best beach resorts in Chennai.. More than what i expected.. Rooms are very clean and well maintained.. Plus points also include Buffet, indoor/outdoor games, swimming pool..

Fantastic and Memorable Stay
The Hotel is so well-situated right on an un-polluted beach, that the sea is practically located right at your door-step. Very relaxing vacation ambiance, along with the factastic view and beautiful beach, the stay is memorable and worthy of the price spent in every aspect of the sense. The food for both room-service and beach-side restaurant, however, still has much room for improvement . The ingredient quality for dinner and breakfast is not so impressive, and the insufficient seating for breakfast makes the supposedly pleasant experience a literal disaster.

Every thing was perfect and comfortable, Room was very clean with good ambiance. Over all stay is memorable only thing i find negative is the room i stayed didn't have window or ventilator that made me uncomfortable, but my family didn't complained about it.

Nice hotel to stay for family trips.
It was a nice experience in the stay. The food and room delivery staffs were very responsive. Need to improve the quality of breakfast. Some were not fully cooked. Overall it was nice experience. Very closer to several places like MGM Dizzee World, Dhakshin Chitra, Muttukadu etc. which is a real plus.

Nice stay
The hotel is well situated right on an entirely unpolluted beach, with a spectacular view totally enchanting. The general atmsphere is quite pleasant, relaxing, and healing, with a lovely pool bordered by palm trees. The beakfast bar is however horribly packed with people in long lines just in order to get an omlette, otherwise suffering from constant shortage of plates, which should be considered something truly unprofessional for a hotel with such facilities. Room service can also be provided a little faster.

good resort but none of the rooms has beach view.
Wonderful. Beach is around half a km from the rooms. Its little wild here with high tides may be in this season so you will not be allowed to go inside sea for bathing. Entire resort is clean and beautiful. Hotel staff is very helpful and kind. Morning breakfast buffet was tasty and good compared to the dinner buffet which had lots of variety but i found taste missing and arrangement little confusing. I would definitly like to go again.

A complete Resort
We booked the hotel based on recommendations from Expedia and Trip Advisor. It is an ideal holiday resort to spend a weekend. The hotel has its own private beach area. Also has acres of green lawn to play if you have kids who want to run about or play cricket. The pool is neat and has some friendly coaches. There is also a SPA, but we did not get a chance to check out. There is also facilities like kids play area, cycling and beach volleyball. The club suites which are located in block 5 are beautiful. But we stated in the suite which over looks the pool and it has its own balcony. My son loved the time with pool, playing out in the lawn, visiting the rabbit house and cycling to the lotus pond. The staff are friendly and the room service very prompt despite the volume they handle. But the weekends can be crowded. The hotel is also closer to mahaballiburam, muthukadu boat house, crocodile park, dhaksin chitra and mayajal. You also get an attractive discount on the MGM Dizzee world which is just backdoors. The breakfast spread is good, but can be boring if you stayed over 3 days. The food quality is good, but the price is steep, which we can expect from a property of this nature. Overall it was one of the most memorable outing we had.

MGM stay....my experience ..
My expericence with MGM was not so good. But a front office manager Ms Faridha made our stay very memorable by upgrading us to better room. the Park veiw suite was pathetic not worth the tariff. rest room was shabby and not finished...flooring was damaged...water started flowing in during rain....so many....after upgrading to a suite room it was quite a pleaent stay........relatively clean and done up well.

Location of the hotel is excellent, Hotel rooms are also good. But the breakfast buffet is not at all managed, guests had to wait most of the times to get the items. The room I was given didn't have the hot water supply even after requesting no body came, the answer I got is that we have a centralized hot water supply system. Over all its very costly for the services they offer. I still am thinking was it worth the money I gave ?

beach was great but .....
the stay was pleasant and there were no surprises. however the room description on hotel.com was way off the mark. the park suite that i booked was to have overlooked the beach but this was not accurate as the beach was not within eye sight. otherwise the hotel f&b staff were great and truly had a warm service.

I stayed there in hotel for one night the room service was good but we had to wait two hr extra for getting the rooms food is good but I felt the buffet lunch was expensive if you are planning to checkin on Saturday then it will be wortwhile to have lunch for that day its very close to beach which is good,the complementary buffet breakfast spread was good we stayed in deluxe room though its clean but bit smaal,also they two seperate bed instead of one king bed as I had requested

This is a horrible place to stay. I travelled with 2yrs old baby, and while drinking milk he droppped it on the towel and the hotel people wanted me to pay for cleaning the towel ...I have never come across such rude hotel staff... Also their dinner buffet spread is awful .....they have the same spread every day without any variations.. I would not recommend this place for anybody especially if you are travelling with a kid !!!

The hotel had no record of any booking made thru hotel.com, did get a room but what would have happened if fully booked. Clean and comfortable room. Dirty pool. Beach closed for swimming, large signs with "Prohibited ...." ?? Arrogant restaurang personel

Swimming in ocean not allowed at Hotel
We had problems with water dropping in our hotel room (despite the heavy rain this should not happen at a resort) and we had an outage of the WLAN for three consecutive days (this should not happen for that long while my mobile was perfectly working with my Indian as well as German SIM - so no problem with the infrastructure outside of the hotel). Because the hotel does not allow swimming at their beach the hotel is not a good choice for those looking to enjoy swimming. My recommendation would be Fishermans Cove or Radisson Blue where swimming is possible.

Accueil agréable et personnalisé qui nous a permis de bonnes rencontres. L'hôtel est un peu éloigné de la ville et il faut connaitre pour se déplacer à moindre coût. La nourriture est très épicé, il est difficile d'y échapper. L'hôtel possède un dispositif de sécurité important pour le calme des clients et la tranquillité est assuré. Un bon départ quand on ne connait pas le pays.

Mooie strandlocatie
Geboekte kamer bleek bij lange na niet aan verwachtingen te voldoen en toonde vele gebreken. Na 1 nacht kregen wij daarom een veel luxere suite (grandeur suite) met eigen Jaccuzi en massagestoel etc aangeboden. Dit was een prima oplossing. Het werd een prettig verblijf aan een mooi strand en een mooi zwembad. Service receptiepersoneel ver beneden de maat. Overig personeel biedt uitstekende service
