The VAST (Vermont Association of Snow Travelers) trail runs through the property, offering immediate access to a day of snowmobiling. The property and adjoining properties offer cross country skiing spaces, walking trails, and endless peace and quiet. Located four miles from pavement on a town gravel road (well maintained, plowed & sanded in winter), this house is full of possibilities, no matter your get-away preferences.

Good location, super clean!
House was centrally located about 30 minutes from everything we needed. Very clean and comfortable, well stocked. Even though owner said that there was no cell coverage had good coverage with AT&T. Would definitely rent from them again.

Exactly what I needed!
Beautiful space and a lot of it. The view is outstanding. The property manager is very attentive and lovely! Wish I could’ve stayed longer! It’s definitely up in the hills but it’s a lovely drive.

Very cool house, great setting
This beautiful old schoolhouse was the perfect place to land after a move! With well-maintained roads, lots of interior light, and a gorgeous great room, this house has so much to offer! We have stayed in many rentals, and this one is particularly special. With a mix of history, but with modern accessories, like strong internet and a good kitchen, this house stands out! It is newly listed, so we were some of the first to stay there, and this one will book up once discovered by more travelers! Privacy was amazing, while the property owner was available, helpful, and generous! Sweeping views met us each day, with mountain mist catching the morning light. Outstanding rental, wouldn’t wait on it!

Picturesque setting, gorgeous home
This incredible schoolhouse has all the charm of historical Vermont, with a nicely updated space, and room for a crew! The old wood floors are beautiful, and hold the warmth of the main space, while the counters are the actual chalkboards from the schoolhouse! Beautiful views of the valley and pond, huge, maple lined street, we’ll maintained rural roads, with no need for special clearance, and just 10 minutes outside the charming town of Chelsea! We were on a green island, with space for our dogs, and stargazing like we’ve never seen! The host was so helpful! Retrieving compost, trash, recycling, bringing over extra sheets for visitors, light bulbs, you name it! As a cook, the kitchen was also a pleasant surprise, and we were able to make much of our own food easily, but don’t sleep on Free Verse Farm Shop pizza! High speed internet allowed us to do all the paperwork and calls needed for work as well! We didn’t know how much we could love a rental until we stayed here. We will always look back at our time at the schoolhouse fondly. I bet the foliage in the fall is unmatched!
