"Cheddar and the surrounding area is such a lovely part of the country and the Gatehouse matched that. The bed was large and very comfortable, the lounge perfect for snuggling away the evenings and the shower particuarly good! Parking also could not have been easier. Do note though, a lot of the roads in the area are narrow and twisty without footpaths so a small car is preferable and beware when walking them."

"The studio is lovely and well equipped. It was exceptionally clean. Including bathrobes added a touch of luxury. It was easy enough to find with the instructions provided. I recommend a walk along the bicycle path from the local recreation ground. "

"Lovely clean, spacious, well-equipped apartment in a beautiful building. The accommodation has everything you need for a short or long stay. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful. There are lovely walks in the surrounding area and it is also very convenient for getting into Bristol."

"Terrible directions to the property. WiFi didn't work (router damaged) and TV cable couldn't connect due to damage, so no terrestrial viewing either. Absolute rip off for price paid. No response from property management. Floors stained and property in overall shabby condition."

"I loved the independence of the flat. The kitchen was fab but could have done with a microwave or even an oven dish.
I did not like seeing all the bins at the front full to the brim. Loved the shower and the bed was okay but badly needed a bedside light. A small chest of drawers would also of been handy. I would book again. "

"It's not a bad place.
But filthy carpets were the main disappointment & filthy smoke butts outside the main door up stairs.
Was there for 3 days, not once did I see anybody do any cleaning or replenish towels or tea & coffee.
That's why it wasn't value for money.
The owner should put more effort into the place, instead of just taking the money."

"Decent property for a single night stay with a family. Hard to find in the dark and no parking, though on-street parking and car parks are available locally.
Three bedrooms with a small kitchen and wet room. Nowhere specific to eat as a family but small tables in each room were fine.
Had to phone on the day to get the key code. This could be made more obvious - or the owner could communicate more proactively. "

"Brilliant location and really friendly, welcoming staff. I was able to leave my bags there both before check-in and after check-out, which was really convenient. I’ll definitely be back!"
"Everything was great. Nice and central to downtown Bath. Perhaps some bottled water in the room would be helpful and appreciated.
A good breakfast included. I’d highly recommend this hotel."
"Beautiful hotel! Fantastic staff, spa was luxurious. Loved the robes and slippers
Great attention to detail and complimentary wine and congratulations note in our room
Definitely a must stay again
Enjoyed our honeymoon!! Thank you so much !!!"
"Great spot to stay at, close enough to the centre to walk and parking beneath hotel. Staff were very helpful and attentive, and hotel is well kept and comfortable."
"This is an iconic and truly lovely venue which we’ve been using for 20plus years.
Its new parking regime is complicated, the app is frustrating and it genuinely distracts from a lovely place to relax and unwind. Have to constantly top up the stay. Which is a pain but when there is so little phone coverage is positively annoying.
Shame, as it’s really put us off and changed our thoughts on using it for work and leisure going forward.
Staff are utterly lovely, professional and friendly."
"Overall helpful staff. V central location and easy to see central bath. Staff need to know better how to handle issues which can arise like they did during the stay."
"I felt like I was staying in the sort of hotel that’s two or three stars above my pay grade or social station, but the staff were astounding and keen to make sure everyone felt welcome."
