"Nice hotel near the airport, great breakfast area and amenities"

"Our bathroom smelled like dead mouse. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. At first we thought it was just the shower drain off gassing and did not mind it since we’re always out exploring the city most of the day. The smell worstend to a full blown smell of a dead mouse on the last day. We informed the reception but only received a reaction that they are shocked. No apologies, no gesture of care or to inspect the room, nothing-as if they don’t care about their guests at all. All we received was just laughter. Maybe because of the language barrier, but i think google translate made it clear what we wanted to convey. We were always polite and said our pleasantries when we approached the staff, the way the reception staff dealt with us was not professional at all. We feel disrespected, as if we’re just another guest that will never come back once they received our business."

"The only good things were clean sheets and good mattresses. Broken light in the bathroom. Falling plastic ceiling in bathroom (room 101) No movies on demand. Eye sore from window (looking at broken dirty ac system) Strong vinegar smell in corridor travelling through the room. Pool was dirty (full of hairs) with dirty slippery floors. The interaction with the afternoon personnel’s was short and abrupt (felt like we were asking for too much, when trying to organise towel for swimming pool) Overall it was not a pleasant stay. Mercure Velizy is outdated, dirty with unpleasant staff. We will never go back there. Beware Photos online isn’t what you will be getting!!"

"I feel like we were "catfished" by the online photos. The lobby of the hotel was clean and looked nice. But as soon as we stepped off the elevator, all that changed. The plumbing was terrible. Toilet wouldn't flush properly. The beds and room were old and not maintained or updated in a long time. It just felt gross. We walked our bags a block away and stayed at a different hotel. "

"Bed was comfortable, shower was hot and great pressure. There is no A/C! Rooms are extremely hot and uncomfortable. You need to bring a fan or 2 and and open the window just to make it bearable. I would stay here again just because is the A/C situation. "
