"Arriving at the Showboat Hotel our room was not acceptably clean. The floor was sticky and covered with dirt, mini fridge had mold, and the balcony had dirt/bird droppings that was clearly not kept up with. I called the hotel desk which is not in on the weekends, after speaking with hospitality we were sent a housekeeper. "Cons:Right next to busy road, lots of traffic noise. Exterior back of the VRBO is in bad shape, and lots of trash around. Biggest safety issue: propane for the kitchen stove was a grill-sized propane tank sitting on junk with a line leading into a hole in the wall. There are raccoons living above the bathroom. The VRBO is part of a larger building with the laundry room being a shared space. Minor issues inside; missing outlet cover, exposed pipes, paint splatters on the floor, damage to counters and cupboards. No dresser, just 3 hangers in a closet. No curtains/blinds on bathroom window. No smoke detector or carbon monoxide detector.Pros:Adequately comfortable and mostly clean. Stocked with the basics for a short stay. The host communicated well and there were no issues with check in. Very good location, close to attractions and restaurants. The mini split works well for heating/cooling, though detailed instructions would have been helpful. Water pressure and temp are good.Overall not horrible, but wouldn't rebook."

"We had a great stay. The house was exactly as pictured. The view was amazing! The house is in a great location and is central to everything in the area. The house was clean and had everything we needed for seven adults and a dog! The hot tub was very relaxing! We all really enjoyed it. Super easy for check-in. Communication with the host was great. I would highly recommend this property and look forward to coming back myself !"

"beautifully appointed home! We literally took pictures of hardware and appliances so we could upgrade our own kitchens - it was decorated beautifully. We appreciated the nice welcome gift - wine and jam!! The host created a comprehensive welcome kit - it included lots of meaningful information and was greatly appreciated. Amazing view of the lake was the cherry on top."

"Perfect location for the wineries that we like to spend time at. This house is one of the best houses that we have stayed at over the many years of coming up to Seneca Lake. The house has everthing you could need and is so clean and comfortable. One of my favorite things is that there are so many great spots to sit outside and relax and see the lake. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again."
