You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

House / hot tub/pet friendly

You will find plenty of room to have family and friends with you to enjoy a peaceful vacation with the relaxing sounds of nature. Two living rooms, three bedrooms, two bathrooms kitchen and dining room. Sit out on decks hearing birds chirping, the rivers relaxing sound, or sit by fire pit and finish the day with a nice dip in the hot tub. NO cell phone service. There is wifi and TVs with dvd players also. JUST relax and enjoy. This house is my husband's home place. It was built in the 60s. And still has the older charm with the comfortable feeling of being at home. You will find occasional squeaky steps, seasonal ladybugs, stinkbugs and deer in the yard. There are many hiking trails, winery's and places to visit within a 30 min or less drive. Or just come sit back and enjoy being here in our beautiful nelson county with the mountains to calm and relax you. There is no city life here.

Gather used towels
Remove personal items and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
All dishes have to be washed. I will put them up. Pick up all trash outside and inside and place in a trash can. Put all game parts back in correct boxes and put back where they go.
You do not have to strip the beds. Make sure all towels and other linens are inside and none left outside. Put all towels in any clothes baskets. Not on floors or furniture.
Close and lock all windows and doors you have used.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Please be mindful that this is a rural area. Natural environment . There will be seasons that lady bugs or stink bug around. So you may see them.
Put all wet or used towels in laundry baskets not on furniture or on flooring.
Children and pets should be watched at all times inside & outside. The river is close ,wooded areas with wild life, firepit & hot tub can be hazards.

We didn't use the hot tub or bring pets, but it was obviously pet friendly. We enjoyed the quiet country setting with a nice fire listening to the water in the creek roll by. The house was clean and inviting.

A very peaceful place

We loved our stay at Teresa’s place. It was spacious, clean and such a relaxing retreat. Teresa was so helpful in giving suggestions of places to eat and things to do around there. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and the peaceful surroundings. Overall a great place to stay!

Cozy Mountain Getaway

Quiet Escape

We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to return. The house was tucked away about 3 miles from Crabtree Falls. We enjoyed morning walks, lots of stars, an awesome hot tub and a clean and well-equipped house. The hosts were attentive and responded promptly to questions.

Great spot to enjoy nature

Stayed here one night because we needed a halfway spot to SC. Wish we would have stayed a couple days. Ran to town to grab some things after we arrived and seen about every animal you could in the area including 2 bobcats.

The Mountain house

We choose this place for the hot tub and rural location. Our stay was perfectly nice and quiet. This is a great place to stay if you have dogs. We didn't. We came for the tub and quiet away from everything and we got it. One thing I can say is our host , Teresa was damn attentive to our needs. Anything and anytime.

Just what we needed!

Perfect place to relax and recharge. The mountain air smelled almost sweet with the river so close. The home has plenty of space with multiple bed and living rooms. The carport is very convenient. We totally enjoyed our weekend. You will love it!

Girls Trip

This was a great little place for a getaway from the beach to the mountains. The house is in a great central location for several wineries, distilleries, and breweries for us to venture out to and then come back to a comfortable, quiet place to stay. They have a lot of games already there in a fun game room, along with a hot tub and a large fire pit perfect for groups and cooking! They even had CD's, Movies, and books for you to enjoy as well.

Mountain Gem

We had a very nice stay here. Its a very quiet and peaceful area. Perfect for a weekend getaway. The house was just as described. The owner was quick to communicate with all the details. It's about 30 minutes from the house to the slopes at Wintergreen. Crabtree Falls is a must and its not far down the road from the house. Hot tub was a nice feature, especially in the winter time. They had dog beds and toys for our pup too :) If you don't mind staying in an old home with its original character, I would highly recommend this place.

Relaxing

Properly is secluded in a quiet, natural setting. However, lots to do around from wineries and breweries, to hiking, to just exploring. We enjoyed all the amenities: hot tub, grill, fire pit, Foosball, and hammock. The house was large and spacious: plenty of room to hang out some of with the facility. Wish the river had been accessible but it was nice to listen to it! We very much enjoyed the deck to just sit with coffee, have dinner, or playing cards with a few drinks. We only had 2 concerns: First, although the house was exceptionally clean, both shower stalls needed a thorough, deep cleaning. Second, there was a lot of junk clutter around the grounds, hot tub, and outdoor game room. Not really safe for littles or curious kids. None of it kept us from having great time! Thank you for having us!

We enjoyed our stay. Loved hearing the river by and getting to do some hiking. We went into Salem Va to visit our college student and catch a banana ball game. Communications with the host was great!

This is an amazing mountain home filled with everything you need to make those family memories. That fresh mountain air, the scenery of fall approaching, peaceful sounds of the river, the evening skies filled with brilliant stars surrounding the firepit chats. Teresa was a wonderful hostess with wonderful recommendations and easy to contact with questions. WE WILL BE BACK!!
