Wonderful place to stay!

Cozy but also spacious! Owner was very easy to get in touch with (not that we had many questions) neighbors were really friendly and we were super close to Charlotte as well as downtown Matthews. Everything we needed was in the house. Super comfortable stay and the house was really cute!

Great house in Matthews

3 of us stayed here for a weekend and it was great! Very clean and lovely inside. Kim was a great hostess and very responsive. This charming house is a short walk to downtown Matthews which had a lot of cute restaurants and shops.

Cute and close to everything

Adorable cottage in the woods but close to everything. The beds are comfortable, towels are fluffy and check in was a breeze. Matthews Station is 3 minutes away and where we hung out with our friends. Fun restaurants and bars plus a great place for breakfast. Weill stay here again the next time we come into town. Would love to see the farmers market in town next time!

Charming private house

Even nicer inside than the photos, and on a quiet street with lots of trees. We enjoyed being able to walk to the downtown area for coffee or lunch. We enjoyed our stay and the chance to meet our host!

Cute home in nice neighborhood

Nicely equipped home for our 3 day stay. Kitchen had plenty of utensils for food preparation. Plenty of towels and blankets which was nice because the weather was chilly. The children really enjoyed the trundle bed, it was a novelty to them

Family weekend

We stayed in this sweet cottage while visiting relatves in the area. The house was clean and cozy on a quiet street in the historic Matthews area. Downtown restaurants and shops nearby. Highly recommend! sevedowtown

Matthews is a great town!

Met up with friends I haven’t seen in a while to hang out. Great location for exploring Matthews. No need to drive as it was an easy walk into town.

consistently wonderful

We come to Matthews regularly from out of state to visit family and have stayed with Kim many times. It's like staying in our own place! Downtown Matthews is a short walk from the house, yet the location of the house is quiet, in a pretty neighborhood with many trees. The house is always spotless. Communication with the host is friendly and prompt.

Comfortable and walkable.

We had a great stay while visiting to attend family baby shower. The house is as pictured, clean and well appointed. Easy to spread out if you have multiple guests. We only had three, so, felt very roomy. Beds super comfortable. Opportunities with outdoor area, landscaping and creating cute sitting areas could be a plus, however, with the heat this time of year, we may not have used anyway. Would consider for fall though.

Downtown Matthews stay

I'm from Matthews, but my family has outgrown my parents house when siblings are in town so my husband, children and I stayed here when in town for my sister's graduation. The neighborhood is very quiet and hidden, but also right in downtown Matthews so it was easy to get to places quickly. The house is small, but perfect for a family of 5. They provided a good selection of kitchen items and while many dishes were still dirty when we arrived(the only 4 star rating), the house as a whole was very clean. Kim was easy to communicate with and quick to reply. We would definitely stay again!

Nice location

The host was really nice and communicative. Unfortunately this place was just so expensive. We were only staying for one night as we drove to the beach. As soon as I booked it I tried to cancel it because of all the extra fees I didn’t realize. But since it was non refundable I was forced to pay extra fees after I booked it. so for one night it was an extra for insurance than extra for pets. The kitchen was nice. The bedrooms and bathrooms were like a 2-3 star hotel cleanliness. Idk I guess I just had high expectations cause it was so expensive. It would of been cheaper to go to a hotel and get two rooms and pay there pet fees.

My wife and I had an exceptional time at this lovely property!The house is delightful. Clean as a whistle, well maintained, and exceedingly comfortable. The decor makes you feel like you're staying in a groovy retro oasis. Of particular note are the beds. We debated whether they were more comfortable than ours back home!Matthews itself was a wonderful surprise, too! Don't discount the food and drinks the town has to offer just because Charlotte is nearby. Brakeman's Coffee in particular is worth a visit or three.Thanks to Kim for being professional, purposeful, and thorough through our entire stay. We would be ecstatic to stay here again if and when we return to the Charlotte area!

Weekend retreat

We loved this location. The neighborhood is lovely. I enjoied the rental, it was somewhat secluded & had a great split floorplan & little patio. The owners were very gracious & helpful.I'll definitely stay here again!

Nice place to stay while visiting family. House is comfortable with plenty of sleeping space. Our 2 pets were welcomed and we received pet deposit back with no problems. (Deposit returned if no pet stains/mess)

A relaxing visit in the quaint town of Mathews.

Loved the convenience of being within walking distance to everything and our pets also enjoyed it! The house is in a great tree covered neighborhood and plenty of things to do and also close enough to the big city.
