Downtown Charlevoix is 5 minutes away. Private, stand-alone cabin on quiet paved road, nestled in the woods. Perfect for a family or four adults. Five minutes to Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix. Castle Farms is less than a mile away. If you like to fish, walk across the street to a small lake and throw a line in!
Hike the Mt. McSauba recreational area (4 miles from cabin) to Lake Michigan or relax on one of our beautiful beaches. Fisherman's Island State Park is three miles away on the shores of Lake Michigan. We are located close to natural areas and conservancies with trails for hiking. Stroll through downtown Charlevoix while enjoying a local treat from an ice cream shop. There are many casual or fine dining restaurants within the downtown area. Check out the Charlevoix schedule for summer festivals and free concerts! Take a "Mushroom House" tour to view the iconic Earl Young homes in the area. The Charlevoix library is a special place for all ages. Enjoy the views of the harbor from a bench in the park or walk the pier to Charlevoix's historical lighthouse as the bridge opens for boat traffic.
The cabin is on a popular biking route. Bring your bikes! A walk out the back door you will find a Maple Woods with an outdoor fire pit and grill. An indoor gas fireplace adds warmth to living space. Petoskey, Boyne City and Harbor Springs are 30 minutes away. Traverse City, Sleeping Bear dunes National Park and Mackinaw are close enough for a day trip. Wildlife is abundant on the property. Clean, newly refurbished cabin! We enjoyed staying in on a rainy weekend and doing a little shopping in Charlevoix. Cozy fire kept the place warm for end of October. We didn't need to turn the heat on. Great kitchen to cook in! Really close to Charlevoix and Ironton.

Thanks for sharing your cute and cozy cabin with us. It was clean and comfortable and met our needs. The only note I'd add for future renters with mobility issues; you will need to walk from the driveway up a slight incline through the grass to reach the cabin. There is no driveway next to the cabin.

Peaceful Place

Post wedding day get away and it was great! Away from the busyness of town but still very close. The house felt warm and welcoming and being able to have a fire was the cherry on top. Would stay there again!

Delightful and Relaxing

The owner was friendly, quick to respond, and very sweet to talk to. My entire family enjoyed their stay, and the kids loved the swings! My mom who is 80 , loved the peace and quiet, yet it wasn’t too far from town. It was an excellent place to stay and very clean!

We stayed at the Shed for our daughter's wedding. It was the perfect location and perfect home. Probably the cleanest VRB0 we've ever stayed in. Lilly, our host, was wonderful.

Very clean and great hosts

This place is beautiful, and the listing is accurate. It was very clean. Check-in was simple and instructions for the stay were inside. Very short drive to Castle Farms. Not a long drive to get into Charlevoix.

Awesome Getaway Cabin

This property exceeds expectations in all categories. Plenty of space for activities, ample parking, and very good location. Very close to downtown Charlevoix and the public boat ramp. 10/10 host.

The property is amazing. It was perfectly located. 5 minutes to Downtown Charlevoix. 5 minutes to Lake Charlevoix. We spent a lot of time by the fire pit. Bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect sized. Beds were comfortable.

Perfect for us!

The Shed was a great place for our family to stay. It was clean and very well-stocked. The location was very quaint and private. We loved to hang out around the house after an outing to the beach to downtown. Our family especially loved the porch- a good place to hang out to read and unwind. We had good interactions with the owners and felt very taken care of. We definitely recommend The Shed!

Beautiful Home

My family's stay was amazing. We attended our nieces wedding at the Castle, and it ended up being the perfect location. It was peaceful and close to everything we needed. The home was so clean and new. It still smells like cedar as you walk through the door. I highly recommend this VRBO to everyone heading to Charlevoix. We will definitely stay here again.

We were attending a wedding at the Castle and this adorable, cozy cabin was super close. Beautiful Property

Just as we expected the property was so pretty and incedibly convenient to our wedding at the castle. Lilly was an excellent host and with a 8 & 6 year old on site she offered her very fun swingset area for their use. House was immaculately kept. Highly recommend!

Awesome house!

We stayed in The Shed for 2 nights and it was fantastic! My fiancé and I got married in Charlevoix and it was a perfect 2 night getaway for us for the remainder of our weekend. The house was clean, appliances were brand new, and locationally you are right down the road from Castle Farms, plus an easy drive into downtown Charlevoix. Lilly (the host) was extremely responsive and wonderful to work with. If the opportunity presents itself, we would 100% stay here again!

Easily 5 stars

We loved our stay. The house is very clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower is extra large with plenty of hot water. The front yard is large and very pretty with numerous beautiful flowers. We spent a lot of time in Boyne, and it was easy to drive to via road and even quicker by ferry. The host provided a much appreciated welcome gift as well. Thank you for providing us a nice place to get away to.
