"The photos of the house were very flattering. The place was tired. There was a dehumidifier running when we arrived. After we turned it off we noticed a distinct smell of damp, hence the need for the dehumidifier. There was only one electrical socket in the lounge and one in each of the bedrooms, which lamps were plugged into. The socket in the 2nd bedroom was coming away from the wall. When we arrived there was a strong smell of faeces outside the front door as about 3 meters away there was a lot of dog faeces. I reported this to our contact, Alexander, who was very responsive and three days later the dog mess had been cleared. On our penultimate day we found a cockroach in the crockery cupboard. We again reported this and Alexander responded quickly and was very apologetic. It would be very cramped for 4 adults to stay here. The shower is difficult to use ( either cold or v hot) and water pressure not great. The spiral staircase is difficult to negotiate - anyone with a young child or mobility issues would really struggle. Location was a compensation but I really I would not recommend "

"The position of Thanasis is wonderful. We spent many hours just watching the boats come and go in the harbour. The swimming pool is exclusively for this villa and was lovely and the upstairs living quarters are bright and airy. There are quite a few stairs to navigate going down to the bedroom and bathrooms and care is needed. Possibly the bathrooms could do with a revamp but were perfectly usable and hot water never a problem. The owner of the villa, Thanasis, was available to call at all times and was very helpful and responsive particularly when we needed some medical assistance after one of us had a fall on a nearby stony track. From then on it meant we had to use taxis to get to and from Lakka. The road down to the village is walkable in daylight hours, around 25 minutes, but not recommended when dark. Whilst there is a rough cliff top path down to Harami Beach, and then on to the village, care needed to be taken in certain parts. We found the supermarket delivery service to be very useful!"
