Great spot for a mini reunion with family!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The kids loved the pool and hot tub. We had fun playing ping pong, croquet, corn hole and walking through the field of wildflowers. It was the perfect setup for 5 families to have their own rooms and bathrooms - lots of space to spread out. The location was close to the Blue Bell factory and a local lavender farm. Thank you for the stay!

Gorgeous country get-away!
This was a treat! Everyone was EXTREMELY happy with the beautiful house, the immense space, the hot tub and pool house, and the kitchen amenities. I appreciated the number of king beds! All the kiddos had somewhere comfy to sleep and lots of spots to play. I enjoyed all the dining tables so we could set up our dominoes and card games. The dogs enjoyed the large fenced yard, and I had a lot of fun tromping around by the pond in the mud. The house is RIGHT off 290, super easy to access and find. We enjoyed eating at Chappell Hill Sausage and 'touring' downtown Chappell Hill. Spent a little time in Brenham, too. This is a great spot for a little bit of remoteness but ability to go out to a dinner not too far away.

Amazing home for a large group
We had a wonderful time and loved how spacious, clean and private everything was. Being able to seat our large group for dinner and private bedrooms with King size beds was perfect for our group. The host was quick to respond when we had a few questions. Will be back year after year!

Great location and excellent gateway for large groups.
Beautiful property, specious rooms. Very relaxing and comfortable. We were a large groups of 10 adults and 5 kids (age 1 to 8), everyone had a plenty of space to spread out and kids really enjoyed during Christmas weekend. Pool house and sounding area was beautiful and well maintained. The owner was very responsive and provided all the necessary information before and during our stay. We would definitely stay again and recommended to others.

Perfect home for a family celebration
Our family had a wonderful time at the Chateau Relaxo! When we arrived, everyone said the same thing: Wow! It's a beautiful property & a perfect setting for our family gathering! There was plenty of room to spread out and lovely areas to gather for barbecuing, playing games and enjoy the pool. Everything was clean and comfy. The host was very friendly and attentive. Thank you for letting us stay and make memories in your wonderful home! Wish we could have stayed longer.

Absolutely Perfect Property!!!
This Beautiful, very well maintained property could not have been more perfect for our Girl’s Weekend! The pool has a chiller that was so nice for the over 100 degree temperatures. There were plenty of beds, baths, dining areas, and the 2 family rooms made it so comfortable for all of us. The owners are extremely nice and accommodating. I will definitely go back!!!

End of Summer Getaway!
Our families from Austin, Houston, and Fort Worth enjoyed this property so much, even with the Texas heat! The swimming pool was the best place to spend the day, and the shade trees provided hours of cornhole fun! The pool house was an added bonus for games and snack time! Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and sleep very comfortably! The house was so clean, with great sheets and towels. We couldn’t have asked for a better place and we’ll be back!

Great house for large groups
We were a large group of 5 couples and 10 kids ranging in age from 14 - 2, everyone had plenty of space to spread out and to gather as a group. The beds were all very comfortable and the fact that most rooms had en suite bathrooms was wonderful! The pictures don’t actually represent the amount of space the house has. 3 large separate living areas and 3 eating areas have us a ton of space. The fully equipped pool house was also a life saver on a very hot weekend. The owners were quick and attentive and resolved a couple of on sight issues quickly and efficiently so we didn’t miss a beat on one trip.

Best Summer Getaway!!!
Excellent home! Bedrooms and beds for all the grandkids and that makes it fun for all. Great time with 9 adults and 2 little ones. Swimming was great fun. Pool house was so handy. Third Family Vacation
We once again enjoyed our stay. The pool as always was a big hit. We did encounter 3 live scorpions in the house. For the second year the hot water in the sunken two bathrooms had a sulphur smell to it. The new refrigerator was very nice.

Great family and friends getaway!
We stayed at this house with 3 other families with small children and there were still 3 bedrooms left. The house has expansive living space to accommodate children playing and parents relaxing. The pool, hot tub and pool house were a hit as well. We would recommend this house to anyone in a large group!

Wonderful place!
We needed a place to hold our group of four brothers and their families for a weekend together. This house was perfect! We rented the barndominium as well, since we are a large group. All the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms and king beds (which were very comfortable). There is room to spread out. We hope to return here again for our next family time.

The venue was perfect for our stay. The hosts were so accessible and we loved the Chappell Hill area. They had a leak a couple of weeks ahead of our stay and worked tirelessly to get repairs completed and the house ready for our group. Beautiful home and lots of room to spread out with a large group.

Absolutely everyone enjoyed their stay here. From ages 3 to 70, 15 total people, had a blast!! Lotsa room. Totally well organized! Great owners to work with!! 65th Birthday
We gathered the family together from Austin and Houston to celebrate my 65th birthday. The house was clean and "HUGE". You can easily have five adult couples stay there and not run into anyone or have a lack of bathrooms. We spent most of the day down at the pool and pool house. We had some young kids so the pool house made it nice for bathroom breaks and just getting out of the sun. It was a great weekend.

Family Vacation
My wife and I just celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. We were joined on this stay by our five children, their spouses and our seven grandchildren. The six bedrooms and 6 1/2 bathrooms in the main house provided each family their own bedroom and bathroom. The pool and pool house were enjoyed by all. The pool house kitchen, bathroom and shower are ideal in keeping the noise from the pool away from the main house. This was our second stay at the same property and look forward to retuning next year.

Great family vacation!
We absolutely loved our stay here! We had 17 adults ranging in ages from 60yrs old to 1yr old. The home is HUGE and so spacious! Everyone had a place and a bed. Ample room for our whole family to enjoy! The pool is great! It does get lots of Sun and hot during the day, but we brought an ez-up tent for some extra shade and it worked out perfectly! The pool house is a nice touch with easy access to the bathroom and the barndominium was perfect for the younger couples in our family. The main upstairs bedroom was very hot, even at night and with the thermostat down at 72. But that’s really the only complaint. The owner was great with responding to questions and concerns on the few occasions we needed. Highly recommend for a family vacation!! There was even ample space in the yard for our annual cornhole tournament! Shady too! We all enjoyed our stay!

We do have a pool cooler to help keep the water cool and an easy up in the garage for extra shade if needed. Great home to experience country living in comfort!
Our group of mostly sexagenarians stayed together at this Chappell Hill farmhouse to attend our 45th High School Reunion. The house was perfect! There are five bedrooms and a loft room with multiple beds. (There is also a barndominium, but we didn't need the extra space.) The house is clean, has a spectacular yard and view, and a nice little pool house and pool with a hot tub. Everything but the internet service worked, and we had cell phone hot spots for the few times we needed internet. Even though the home is near Highway 290 we never heard any road noise. In fact, the only sound we heard was the chorus of tree frogs. We spent every morning having coffee and breakfast on the patio while listening to the frogs, enjoying the bucolic view, and chatting. It was the perfect start to the day! We highly recommend staying here!

Large, comfortable beautiful home!
We rented this for our large family Christmas gathering. Every bed was ultra comfy and a bathroom in almost every bedroom. Bedrooms were large with large closets. There was enough table seating where we could all eat in the same room and a living room area big enough for all of us to play games together and open presents. It was a completely wonderful experience. I would not have changed anything about this house!!

There were 16 of us., celebrating a 56th wedding anniversary on the 23rd, Mom’s 71st birthday on the 24th and Jesus on Christmas day! We could not have had a better time… it was truly perfect and the property and house were an excellent backdrop for our special family celebrations. The property is beautiful and spacious on the inside and outside and even decorated so elegantly for Christmas with a tree and outdoor lights.

Lovely Getaway for Anyone!
We had an amazing 'staycation' weekend for my partner's birthday with a small group of friends and family and this house was just what we needed! This property is amazing and the hosts were very accommodating to my group and our pets and provided everything you could need for the trip! The property was just as described and very clean (even looked better than the pictures!) and the pool especially was a special treat for our trip. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend a stay here for anyone!

Lovely property
This house is very beautiful and very big. We had 16 people in our group and it accommodated us very well. We were never crowded and always had plenty of room. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The pool house made it very convenient to eat lunch and supper since we were in the pool all day. The owner was very fast in responding to any questions that I had about the house or anything.

Great place for a pandemic get away.
We were looking for an escape from the city, our work, the pandemic and found this to be a great spot for all those things. The pool, sleeping space, communal spaces are all wonderful for socializing and escaping it all.

Spacious beautiful property
I loved this property! The pool and hot tub were wonderful, there was lots of seating and table space for everyone, and the scenery was so beautiful. We loved watching the sunset from the pool house patio. Also, I found the property owners to be very informative, accommodating and quick to reply to messages. I would say the only negatives were that there was one less bed than we had been under the impression there would be, and the water in 2 of the bathrooms had a bit of a mineral/egg smell. But overall I was extremely happy with our stay here and would definitely recommend this place for friend getaways and family get togethers.

Hi Sarah, Thank you for the review. We do have well water and have worked hard to get the smell resolved by adding a double filtration system and a chlorinator as well. Wonderful vacation with extended family
The property was very well maintained and the views were beautiful. The house was wonderful with more than enough space for everyone to have a place to relax. The pool house was vey welcome while we spent a good portion of the day at the pool.

Family vacation
It was surprising that you could not hear the road traffic from 290. The way the bedrooms are spread out made each one a private experience. I would recommend that there be a steppingstone or paved path from the back gate to the deck from the lowered section of the house. The pool house was a definite plus.
