Be sure to press the red button on the water heater or you will only have cold water. Other than that, our stay was very enjoyable. Walking distance to a shopping center that has a Cinema, restaurants, coffee shop, Bakery, a grocery store, and a gym that allows you to get a day pass for under $5. It has a single car garage!!! I

Casita Colorida is in a great location. Walkable to everything in Ajijic. Omar is very quick to respond and will accommodate whenever possible. We wish it was cleaner. Beds are too firm.

Our stay was very pleasant…enjoyed the spaciousness of the place, the location was centrally located & the host was responsive & helpful. The biggest challenge was the weather…it was super hot & humid…We checked with the host beforehand to see oíd there was any a/c or fans…no a/c but ceiling fans & one stand up fan…we brought an extra fan from home. The only other challenge was the low doorway leading from the patio garage into the house…my husband hit his head numerous times! Other than that we liked the place!

AVOID at all costs, this place was a DUMP. When we got there, the kitchen was dirty, crumbs on the counters, sink was dirty, a damp musty towel was left there. There was left over crusty food on the pots/pans and utensils, the cover of the trashcan was filthy. I messaged the host and he sent his cleaning lady back. There was no sponge in the kitchen, and no soap in the bathroom, so she went to get some. The bathroom had mold and worms in the shower. The mattresses were SO uncomfortable, and the pillows had a bad smell to them. The paint was bubbling up off the walls, and the place was so dark and dank, it has character and could be so much better. It needs to have a deep cleaning, even the light switches had dirt on them. We had a rough night because the fans were loud, and there were flies and mosquitoes in the house and we got bitten throughout the night. We were supposed to stay for 3 nights, but left after the first night because it was so intolerable. Also, the cold water faucet in the shower was stuck and would not turn, so all I got was scalding hot water for my shower at night. Yes, the host was responsive, and said he would let us know when the plumber would be out the next day. We didn't stay to find out if it got fixed. We did ask Expedia for a refund and the host agreed and did refund us the 2 nights, but it really ruined our first night there. Never have I had such an awful experience.

Video cameras in house

The property is walking distance to the lake and the main street. There were two cameras in the house that were not disclosed when we made the reservation or after we arrived. When I asked Oscar, he said they were for security and I could unplug them. Not cool to not advise ahead of time.

Terrible listing

This property was probably the worst place I could have stayed. Nothing was clean when I arrived. The toilet, shower and bathroom sink were all dirty. The refrigerator wasn't cold and the drinking water supply wasn't usable. Plus the noise level in the street was horrible, with trucks constantly rattling by, loud--and I mean LOUD--music playing, and roosters crowing all day. Finally, the air circulation from the fans in the rooms was almost nonexistent. I only stayed one night then moved to a hotel. I texted Omar, the owner, to get a partial refund but he never responded. I strongly recommend you have this property removed from your listings. And I would still like all or most of my money back.

I could walk strait down to the lake and hotel for breakfast. Also could walk strait across on Guadalupe to the town center

Excelente ubicación y agradable casita.

Disfruté mi estadía y sólo sugiero que se agreguen pequeñas tazas para café (solo hay grandes pocillos) y una repisa en el baño. Ideal para pareja con uno o dos niños.
