Great location on the lake

Great winter destination

House and property were very nice and well stocked. The lake was fairly quiet, clean, and enjoyable. We liked paddling to the various islands on the lake.

Fantastic
Spectacular property. The cabin was well stocked with everything our group needed, but we spent the majority of our stay enjoying the dock, and taking in the lake views. Couldn’t recommend more!

Lake House Champion UP
If you are looking for an out of the way, private location, but isn't too far away from some of the "bigger" cities in the UP, this is a great house for a large family to enjoy. While the property no longer has the jet skis available, Rebecca our host, did inform us of that and did provide names of places we could rent from. Jay, the homeowner, happened to be at the property one day with his new Jet Ski and did offer to take the boys for a quick ride on the lake. Jay made sure we had everything we needed. We never saw any other neighbors. Very isolated, but that is what we were looking for. Huge yard to play cornhole and croquet. The house was large enough to support 6 adults and 3 boys ages 6-9 and not get under each other's feet but also had a large dining room table where we could eat together, with the boys at the kitchen island/bar, right there with us. Nice family room area to sit and relax on rain days and huge lower level so adults and kids can have their own space.

Quiet Solitude on the Lake
We ended up staying at another property with the same owner due to ongoing renovations at the originally booked house. The property we stayed at was next door, larger, but by all appearances the same class/level. Our visit was a bit early for the peak season when, I’m told, the lake is warmer and there are more water sports. However, it was perfect for me and my family as a quiet getaway. The house was so quiet that the first night I slept 12 hours straight! Beds were comfortable, the hot tub was top notch, and the sauna was incredible. We picked up steaks at a relatively nearby meat market and enjoyed using the grill. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed some of the board games there at the house as well as others we brought.

Great stay with friends snowmobiling!!!
Excellent communication from ownership. Couldn’t have asked for more!! This is an amazing home right on the lake. Easy access to gas and trail #8 on snowmobiles. The cabin was beautiful overall and was fully stocked with kitchen amenities. Everything was clean and the view was gorgeous. We couldn't figure out how to get the sauna to work but it wasn't high on our list of things we needed. Overall we really enjoyed this property.

Beautiful Place
This house is beautiful. Lots of room for everyone to spread out. Fully stocked with almost everything you could hope for. Only a couple of (minor) complaints. Would like a blow dryer in each bathroom. There was only 1 on the main floor and 3 women using it. Also, the pans could be updated. We scrambled eggs and they stuck to the pans really bad, even after adding butter. Otherwise, I highly recommend this home.

Wonderful Getaway
A beautiful peaceful private setting for a wonderful family gathering. A beautiful, comfortable spacious home gave us a lot of space to stretch out and relax. Clean and cozy accommodations. Nearby Marquette (40-45 minutes away) has opportunities for hiking, dining out, etc. Would recommend if you are looking for a peaceful, private getaway surrounded by nature!

Beautiful Lake House
We had a wonderful time staying here. The house is beautiful and it was nice and clean. There was a bird nest with robins on the light fixture by the front door and we got to see the three little ones fly out of the nest while we were there! We rented a pontoon boat from Champion Sports and they delivered it to Van Ryper State Park for us, and we enjoyed fishing and taking the grandkids tubing. We had a fire in the firepit 3 nights and sunsets were great. We appreciated the plentiful towels, dishes and glasses. For people who cook, the kitchen could benefit by having a baking sheet (there was one small one), a small saucepan and a large friying pan (the large frying pans were non-stick but were very scratched). There were two nice medium size stainless steel frying pans. The tree/playhouse is so cute! We went to Marquette for a day and to Canyon Falls one morning, but otherwise just enjoyed the lake and house. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this lovely home.

Great place to stay. Property is beautiful. Off the beaten path, but has all the creature comforts of home. Great views of the lake from inside the house. Enjoyed our time fishing from dock and sitting by the waters edge with a campfire gazing at the stars. Easy access for our kayaks. Would recommend staying here.

Rebecca, the owner always responded to my texts and I probably sent too many. The place was fantastic, huge yard, Great Lake view and plenty of room. Could have used a few more sunny days but that's life in the U.P. When the sun is shining there's no better place to vacation

Great long weekend getaway for some snowmobiling!
Booked a last minute trip to chase snow before it melted. The house was perfect for our group of 6. Very spacious home with great views of the lake. Sauna was a nice bonus after a long day of riding. Rebecca was very responsive and addressed any questions we had both before and during our stay. Trails are easily accessed by the lake and plenty of parking for 2 big trucks and trailers. Definitely will be back! Thank you!

Snowmobile Getaway
A great place if you love to snowmobile! Heated garage floors to pull sleds in to dry off was a BONUS. Sauna with shower amazing and roomy. Kitchen fully stocked just bring your food. Only suggestions would be to add more lighting in the living room especially above the dinning table, was too dark after sun went down. Amazing sunsets! Would stay again in a heartbeat. It was a 2 mile road ride to get to a main snowmobile trail but once there it was fantastic!

Great location! Plenty of room for 6 adults. Easy access to snowmobile trails. Enough room for 2 small trailers but if have big trailer I’d park at Koski’s BP gas station which is 10 min away. Will stay here again for sure.

Winter Getaway
We really enjoyed our time at the beach house. The setting is spectacular,-right on the lake-though in the winter the arrival can be treacherous as you have to traverse 3 or so miles of backcountry roads to get there which can get icy. The house is spacious, well-furnished and perfect for a larger group. Communication with the host was easy and she was quickly responsive to our questions. I would love to come back in summer!

Beautiful lake stay!
Such a great getaway house on the lake! We stayed with with our two little kiddos and the grandparents and all had plenty of space to spread out and really relax. Fishing on the dock and fires by the lake at night. Hiking and biking trials nearby. Sauna to relax in as well!

We stayed 1 week with family (total of 7 people) and wished we could have stayed longer! Beautiful location on one of the nicest lakes we've seen in the upper midwest. Comfortable and large place, well taken care of, and a highly communicative and helpful owner/manager. Stunning sunsets, and so glad we rented a pontoon boat so that we could spend many happy hours on the lake. Highly recommend!

Relaxation in the UP
The house/cabin was exactly as described in the listing except that the listing states there are only 2 bathrooms, but there are really 3 or at least 2.5, which was great for us. The house was clean upon arrival and ready for our use. The views from the main room were beautiful and every sunset was sure to please. We rented a pontoon boat for our stay and had no issues keeping the boat at the provided dock. Really wish we would have had more time to spend fishing as we finally started to get our bearings the last couple of days and had some good morning and evening runs on the water. The house/cabin was in a perfect location for a couple trips to Marquette and Black Rocks while we were. We only had one issue while we were there and Rebecca was able to address it quickly. Thank you for sharing your home with us and we will be back.

Wonderful lake home
Stayed here 3 nights as part of a UP week trip. Very nice home and lake front. We had a fire at the lake side for marshmallows and kayaked the lake. Even caught a few smallmouth bass and pike. Definitely recommended.
