"We were in bungalow #47, which is surrounded by trashes and dirt. We had the feeling being in a recycling center ! The sink was totally clogged.
Last but not least, the personnel at the front office were totally unfriendly, in particular what seems to be the manager of the resort (other staff out of the front office was nice). During our 3 weeks trip in Thailand we were never received like this.
The food in the restaurants was average.

The only issue we had was we paid extra for the Beach Villa, they let Day guests into the resort & the unit style Beach club people come & sit right in front of your beach view. "We really enjoyed our stay at the Tarna. Decent breakfast spread without being overly fancy. The free shuttle to and from town (and to and from the ferry) was greatly appreciated. The onsite dive school was excellent and we had great dives with them. The fact that their equipment is in great condition and they have their own traning pool at the hotel were big pluses. We had a room with its own pool, which we really enjoyed - But be aware that these rooms are all facing onto the construction site next door. I estimate that it will be ongoing for at least another year (we stayed in April 2025). To be fair it wasn't that intrusive, but I think potential guests should know about it."
